BBC reports suggest Stoner`s wrist is a potential career ending injury if not sorted soon. Cant be that bad, Ducati must be Sandbagging again.
Agree with you there, in Stoner's own wordsRegarding the injury, which flared up again following a crash at Misano at the end of August, he said: "Pain-wise it's fine, it's just a weakness in change of direction and things like that. "
"In some ways we're lucky it did show us what the real problem was, so we weren't just ignoring it and finding a bigger problem later on."
Hence he clicked off a 1 min 30s this morning.
Then again when you read his own description of his previous races at Phillip Island alone, it's a wonder it is only a minor injury pumped up by his PR team although I'm not to sure what his idea of a good result is?
" I´ve had a lot of good results here: I was winning on a 125cc and crashed out, equal second with Jorge Lorenzo (both clocked a race time of 38´02.000 in a dead heat finish) in 2004, then crashed out of the 250cc race when winning. We´ve always been competitive, it´s just that we´ve only stuck it on the top step one time,´ explains the outgoing MotoGP World Champion and winner of the 2007 race in Australia."
At last your starting to see what's going on, welcome to the real world!

Stoner's wrist injury will require a bone graft immediately the season is over at valencia - source MCN
Nice quote from Rossi on Stoner which shuts up the fools here
“I think Stoner next year will be back stronger again,” said Rossi, 29, after he wrapped up his sixth premier-class title, and the first in three years, at the Japanese Grand Prix in Motegi on Sunday.
“So, maybe he is the hardest rival I have ever had, more than [Sete] Gibernau and all the others I fought against in the past.”

Not to take anything away from Stoner, but I'm pretty sure Rossi isn't meaning Stoner alone. I believe Rossi is counting in the Ducati as a bike and Ducati as a team. Rossi also said all the top riders will be faster or stronger next season. Not just Stoner. Please quote all the relevant info. Nice quote from Rossi on Stoner which shuts up the fools here

Is this an old wking injury? Before you start, Rocket's (derogatory) comment was impersonal (unless Stoner is a poster here - which I doubt )

If a expert witness ie Valentino Rossi 8 X World Champ, in many peoples view the greatest rider of all time, says maybe he (Stoner) is the hardest rival, then us mortals should take what he says on face value.
To do anything else, sets your words against Rossi, which would be plainly foolish

I know what you need, a little un-PC joke to brighten the mood in this morgue, hydrate your funny bone:
A fleeing Taliban, desperate for water, was plodding through the Afghanistan desert when he saw something far off in the distance.
Hoping to find water, he hurried toward the object, only to find a little old Jewish man at a small stand selling ties.
The Taliban asked, 'Do you have water?'
The Jewish man replied, 'I have no water. Would you like to buy a tie? They are only $5.'
The Taliban shouted, 'Idiot! I do not need an over-priced tie. I need water! I should kill you, but I must find water first!
OK,' said the old Jewish man, 'it does not matter that you do not want to buy a tie and that you hate me. I will show you that I am bigger than that. If you continue over that hill to the east for about two miles, you will find a lovely restaurant. It has all the ice cold water you need. Shalom.'
Muttering, the Taliban staggered away over the hill. Several hours later he staggered back, almost dead.
'Your f***ing brother won't let me in without a tie!'
