I've lost track now Stu, got Simon meeting me with two others before we head up to meet you - don't know if OCD and his pal will be with them also, may just be meeting at DB with Dave( Jazoli)....
Just a note guys, bumped into a mate who was out last Sat. afternoon, he was approaching DB from North (Sedbergh) last village on way , may have been Casterton I think he said, he took eye off ball a tad on his new bike ( 1200 Multistrada) and rolled into it at 58... He missed the 30 sign and was breaking but not quickly enough.... got a full on radar gun in his face from behind an unmarked RangeRover....cop scaled it down to an SP30... His fault totally , but built ups is built ups - eyes on- sure there will be reasonable " presence" around tomorrow....see you all then .
I'm with Simon mate tomorrow coming up to meet you. My mate has chickened out ... I think it was mentioning Simons man love that did it ... wink

Good to see BN, Loon, Jazoli and hebege at the cafe today, and to meet LegzR1 and Tight5 for the first time. I hope all you lads had a top day out, me and my mates had great ride. I should have listened to Simon though, riding down to Melmerby was a bit st, then on the way back up there was a gypsy wagon with about 15 cars in a tailback, on a road with almost no straight bits. The 3 of us had cleared it by the time we got back to the cafe, but we might as well have not bothered going down there.

Hope you all had a good ride out, was hoping to get up to hartside to meet you but I didn't get out until 3pm so didn't bother going up that way.

I realise how big of a disappointment this is to you all...

Really enjoyed that ... A nice brisk run and good to meet some new and old faces ...

Starting to click with the Fireblander and appreciate what a great machine it really is when opened up.
Highlights of the day...

- Simon having a 'moment'
- Graham's sign language signals on the bike (no brake lights or indicators) ... He looked a right nutter! biggrin
- Dave and a guy on an R1 overtaking me and the R1 not quite making the corner. Oops!
- Rik hobbling around all day as the R1 is killing him biggrin
- Mr Bayliss making an appearance

biggrin

Enjoyed the day. Good ride and blew away some cobwebs. God I love my HP4, the engine is so much stronger than my trackbike.

Nice way to burn a few gallons.

Enjoyed the run, the banter, the mono's by BN & over every crest by Hebegebe. Loon doing the Rossi leg dangle looked really spectacular too.

Sorry I had to head off, but I did make it home in time to a avoid any penalty points with MrsB.

Pic or 2 to follow.

Good day out again, its been 10 months since the last one, was nice to meet some new faces and see some old ones (who are looking older all the time, its been 7 years since the first BB meet now), It was a nice steady run out, the guy on the R1 was someone I'd met at DB and had asked to tag on, no-one tried to warn him about following me, he hadn't been told how awesome I was, at least he stayed upright hehe

Ive never seen anyone look as cold as BN did when he arrived at DB, and I can understand why, It was bloody cold at Hartside, I put my fresh brew down for a minute and it was stone cold when I picked it up.

I really enjoyed today, the old gixxer (!) can still boogie when called upon, I might keep it after all.

For comparison of the weather, this is at the top of the hill - brightness whacked right up to make this photo even half visible.

And this is us just a few minutes down the road, grabbing some petrol in Alston.

BN, LegzR1 and Tight5 pulled in for a tab break just after I took this.

Brake lights on aswell, obviously back brake to keep it level. So what happened after this?

Glad no major dramas and looked a good turnout.
