These vids were shot over 10yrs ago in the days when you could 'get' away with it. They helped sell a lot of Hyabruisers and R1s.
Some of the posters on here should go back go polishing their scooters and reading the Daily (schoolteacher) Mail.
The superbikes trips inspired me to go to France and further a field and ride some of those roads. My chosen pace on an (R1) is slightly slower..but would I am sure make some of you choke on your cornflakes.
If you never break the speed limit then lecture away from your sanctimonious pulpit to those that are interested
I agree, well said! I say again, was all about having fun!! Some of the posters on here should go back go polishing their scooters and reading the Daily (schoolteacher) Mail.

Plus don't forget the contribution they made to racing....without Fast Bikes initial support (Well done Mr Schiller) Shane 'Shakey' Burne may not have had the illustrious career he has had thus far..............
Those who call the Fast Bikes crew irresponsible idiots, should remember that the current BSB Champion was one of them!! Along with Rob Frost, Gary Mason etc!!
i doubt they ride like that on the road now! attitudes have changed and now riding like that on the road is seen as akin to drink driving as you have proved

What is shown on the videos IS as bad as drink driving and should be treated in a similar way. In my view it is just as likely to end up with someone dead or hurt.
Just to be clear (for those that haven’t done any homework on the subject), I do not have a problem in principal with speeding. I also don’t have an issue with general stunts although I do think that, for all of these, there is a right time, a right place and a right level. There is a video on my profile of me a few years ago enjoying the superb roads in the South of France so anyone who wants to can see that I have fun on a bike as much as anyone else. I would suggest that much of that ride was … er …… slightly above the speed limit. (by less than 10% officer, honest!!!)

So what your saying is YOU BELIEVE they where being irresponsible at the time but your "naughty vid is OK because YOU BELIEVE as such..There is a video on my profile of me a few years ago enjoying the superb roads in the South of France so anyone who wants to can see that I have fun on a bike as much as anyone else. Your not any different to the FB crew, its just that your little vid didnt make the public domain but both could be viewed as having the same impact to said Daily Mail reader
What a hypocrite, go and preach your b.s elsewhere mate.

These guys are highly skilled, riding within their high limits (except for the crash...ahem) and talking up the danger etc for the dramatic effect. Don't forget, they are doing run after run on those sections of roads before they film it and 2 of the riders are now national/world class riders. Try an on board TT experience for true cracking on on the road.
I think those going on about speed limits and respect for other road users don't know how good we already have it in the UK.
Try driving/riding in
a) India
b) Southern Italy
c) Dominican Republic
if you want to have your perceptions of what's acceptible on the road reset.
On those pedestrian free roads on the video (and their motorway wheelying antics) who are they really risking - themselves basically.
You don't see mountaineers, arctic explorers and round the world yachtsmen being told off and banned for being irresponsible and arguably they risk others lives more when rescue workers have to head out to hazardous places when it goes wrong for them.
Plus - stop hammering Daily Mail readers all. It's the Observer and Guardian readers that have a far more insidious and regulatory effect on our society than Mail readers ever will. :-)

Sorry if any Daily Mail or Cornflake eaters were offended by my posting. I must say when I was riding the ardeche, route napoleon and N11 before they built the Millau bridge I allways received a warm reception from those Frenchies. Its because they are a biking nation with free spirit. They are not indoctrinated with antibike preconceptions like mrblackK1.
Things have calmed down in France because of those eurocrats. But to everyone reading this I would say get on your bike, ride the route napoleon or the ardeche (when its quiet) or better still the the south side of the pyrenees or an autobahn. Because that is what your superbike was really designed for - NOT riding round in circles on a track and topping out at 140. Experience the feeling of the wind trying to tear your leathers off your back at 160+ and experience the blured vision and eyeball ratling from following your mates at that speed.
Above all ride your bike in a way that makes you feel alive because that is what sets you apart from those that don't!

does anyone else remember the very first PB video that they showed on the stand at the NEC (it was never sold) it featured some guy cracking on a bit on a ZZR1100....it was the biggest crowd ive seen around a stand at any bike show no-one had seen anything like it before
superb
That I do, Mark Forsyth rode the ZZR(and later binned it at high speed racing a bi-plane down a runway, as you do...) and I think Rupert Paul rode the very first EXUP in the same vid as well, im pretty sure it was on sale..superb

- OK maybe you're not but you came across that way - my opinion......
BTW - I took the trouble to look at your old boys website and read the line "As, at one point, the speedo is showing over 160mph no information as to bike or rider is shown but they and we know who they are...8*)"
I do hope you gave your mate a stiff telling off as I bet they caused some some poor Magda to choke on her bratwurst with such naughty antics in the fatherland!
But hang on surely such an atrocity isn’t fit for public consumption - as you say about the FB vids?
Are there some dual standards being exercised here? or was your mate with the camera some BSB/MGP/WSB God?
As someone said - What a hypocrite, go and preach your b.s elsewhere mate.

Please explain at what point I have been a hypocrite? I have never had a problem with speeding (please read my numerous previous posts on the subject) within a degree of reason. (160 on a clear open road with good visibility would be OK in my books but 160 through a town – no chance.)- OK maybe you're not but you came across that way - my opinion......

What I have a problem with is ‘dangerous driving’ and a lack of consideration for others. What I see of the FB videos are bikers who perform maneuvers that I consider to be clearly in the ‘dangerous driving’ category and a total lack of consideration for others be they other road users or those that actually have to pay for the bikes that the FB team managed to bend seriously at an average of 1 bike per day in the V-twin video!
