Not mine A customers bike that came in for a static inspection so didn't get started either. Will probably get to see more of it in the future as he likes to ride and not store them. Fell in love with them as a kid and always wanted one.podman said:

That particular era of TZR isnt worth anything like £10,000, im not sure any road going TZRs are that kind of money yet, even the exotic grey import SP examples.
If you fancy a project, I can put you in touch with a seller I know who has the extact same model as pictured running and roadworthy(ish) for under £1500.
I'm no expert in these things by any stretch - in fact, my knowledge of two strokes could probably do with a lot of buffing. I'm showing my age I expect! I only pulled a price out of the air based on what I saw after a quick look on ebay, there were a few around the 10K mark, admittedly minters. I'd love a 2 stroke sports bike for the garage, but the budget doesn't allow it yet. It's something I'd like to look at one day, but I know the old 2 strokes have a reputation for being a bit temperamental, I'm not amazing with the spanners, though I suppose I could always try harder to learn. If you fancy a project, I can put you in touch with a seller I know who has the extact same model as pictured running and roadworthy(ish) for under £1500.
In fact, if id have discovered the RD site before I had my bike sent to engine builder/restorer, I wouldnt have sent it and would have done a better job AND saved myself a shed load of money, if you want one, you'll always find someone to give you advice/assist you with it..Once set up well, there not nowhere near as bad as the reputation suggests, all of my work this Winter will be checking/servicing and cosmetic stuff..apart from the forks, i should have rebuilt them last year..
