Moto 3, Ogdon managed to get some points after what seemed like half the front crashed throughout the race.

Moto 2, I kind of lost interest with Dixon not racing.

MotoGP, I really enjoyed that for all sorts of reasons and the main one was Marquez.

Roll on Portugal in 2 weeks time.

Aleix for the win today? Seemed to fair better with the tyres towards the end of the sprint.
They manage the tyres differently in a sprint and full race distance, so you tend to find tyre life comparisons differ a lot between the two types of race. We saw that a lot last year, where you might expect someone with good tyre at the end of the sprint would follow that they had that advantage in the race, it tended not to be the case.
Yeah you called that well. I think the front runners made some good setup adjustments from the sprint data. Pecco particularly it seems, although Martin still had some tyre left in the last couple of laps as he closed on Binder.

Still don't think Aleix was a bad call on Saturday though biggrin If he hadn't got such a poor start, and then been able to pull the pin with 10 laps to go from 6th place it may have worked out (lots of what it's!!).

Miller really hasn't started the way he needs to for the year ahead, or for his career in KTM factory colours

Please please please can Quateraro get an Aprilia and replace Vinales

Espagaro had a duff tyre, that's really annoying as it should have been a chance for victory on Sunday

Martin's gotta work out how to win GP's and not mainly sprint races, being a short format specialist is unlikely to deliver the championship

Binder could take the fight to the Ducati's, especially the '24 ones, thank goodness, 1 KTM with 6 Ducati's in the top 7.

Bezzechi, lost, had hoped my observations about his poor form in testing weren't going to be realised, but he's lost a step when he thought he'd gain one by staying on the year old bike

M Marquez, after 9 days on the Ducati, he's the fastest of the '23 Ducati's, 4th .... He's only crashed it once and he's improving. Jaws music.

Speaking of Jaws music, Acosta, fk me, wow ....

Alternatively if KTM can put Marc alongside Acosta, they'll smash the opposition; Red Bull sponsored GasGas dream team?
If I was to take a lunge at a prediction, I've said it before, I reckon KTM will put a pair of MV Agusta's on the grid with the dream team of Marc and Pedro, and then bring Agostini in as an advisory man. It would be great for the sport and the brand. Ducati shouldn't be allowed 8 bikes on the grid really. Aprilia could do with another 2 also.

Massively disappointed in the rest of the Aprilia's, a bike that is capable of mixing it with the Ducati's and KTM in the sprint (one of them anyway) and all the others nowhere to be seen, Fabio definitely needs to be on one of those, Morbidelli has lost it IMHO.

Marc is doing what he does, it's clear the '23 bike lags behind the 24 bike, great job Ducati have done as it wasn't the same last time out when the '23 had rough edges compared to the outgoing '22 (or was that 22/21!). Acosta and Marc really up the excitement of the race. Jorge did a solid job, Bagnaia too, I expected Brad to be right up there and fair play to him. Miller another who is capable but ends up the same way too often. Zarco should be on an Aprilia too. Maverick needs all the stars aligning to be good, Aleix did a great job on Saturday.

Roll on Portimao, personally I am delighted that Marc is right at the sharp end already, the top 8 riders in the sprint race represent the current cream of the crop for me with the machinery they're on. If only Marc could get his hands on a '24 bike ;

Ducati's 100year anniversary in 2026, who will they be wanting on their bikes for that, and the competitors for that matter to deny them of a victory in that year!!

he's got a massive problem really, now. Over the tests he missed, he's likely 700 odd laps down on some of the guys on new bikes.

I can see Ducati swapping a 24 bike with Bezechis 23 model that he is having a mare on, to see if it gets the pair of them closer to where they should be.
Pecco reckons the 24 has the best bits of the 22 and 23 together, so with the 22's nimble turning being what Bez is missing, i can see the pressure coming to bear.

I know a lot of it was through injury but other than being part of VR46 camp he hasn't really set the world on fire. There is lots waiting in the wings. I had hoped he would have a chance this year but the last accident seems to really messed him up.

Ago is far too old to be anything to do with a GP team, Miller will get moved aside to Gas Gas, Fernandez will be dropped into SBk the GP riders retirement home for failed GP riders!!

Qatar is an odd race,m always has been, I am fairly sure Fabio and the Honda's will be better on some tracks and when the developments they are allowed start to flow in I hope they improve a lot.

But if they do not my fear is that they decide sports bikes dont really sell that much these days, despite the links between their range and GP racing and they go elsewhere for their kicks, Superbike I believe is starting a slight resurgence.

But GP is a huge raw and still by far the biggest bike racing anywhere, so praps not

Has anyone else tried to watch the moto Gp highlights on YouTube ? For a multi billion top level sport the highlights are so badly edited - bad cuts key
Moves missed and the commentary is jumbled up due to the bad edits - or maybe I’m watching the wrong highlights ? Used to love watching this on Bt sport was a great watch live.

Lastnight on ITV4. It will be on ITV X catch-up now. It's not always the Monday after on ITV4 though. It depends on whether there is snooker, WRC or Bond films on in the same week hehe .

Acosta was impressive, and it's good to see Marquez on a decent bike. Looking forward to the rest of the season.

That was a great first race so the rest of the season looks promising.

Good to see MM finally on a competitive bike once more.

ITV's highlights aren't much better! Makes it worth paying the £28 a month to TNT Sports for the full shows.

Maybe it's done deliberately to get people to buy the package instead of watching the highlights for free.

Finally caught up with Moto2, I really enjoyed that! Great to see Baltus and Garcia on the podium, and to see Ogura back in reasonable form. Interesting that so many had tyre issues; assuming questions will be asked and Pirelli told to bring a more durable tyre, but it added spice and several riders seemed to cope well enough.

Interested to see how well the Boscuscuro frames go at Portimao, a repeat of that performance will get Kalex worried.

Pecco has resumed from where he left off.
His was an interesting start in the main race - was on the inside and found a gap to the outside and powered around the pack. A very, well, powerful start there!
