Just back from the classic tt/manx gp

Loads of great bikes everywhere,a brilliant event marred slightly by the regs fiasco in the superbike class

Our man came 6th in the lightweight classic
The top 4 were all tt regulars.
In the Manx junior race he suffered a piston skirt failure

Your man did brilliantly, shame I didnt catch up with you, our mob all had a cracking time, weather was kind on the most part and thankfully we got an earlier ferry back Saturday eve as our accommodation was dire, we was booked on tomorrows boat...

Pic of my Dad after doing 145mph over the mountain...sorry, that should be 45mph over the mountain..

fking bikes

Exhaust has snapped where the downpipe meets the collector, cheap arsed mild steel parts directly behind the front wheel, second hand parts are rare and £silly, new parts are £700, on a £2k bike, 2 week holiday off work, noticed the extra noise on day 1 of the holiday, bang go my plans, I'm just glad I couldn't get a hire van for last weekends bash at Snet, would have been even more pissed off.
Off subject a little but I like the organic tank prop. Have to ask why you're not using the standard Suzuki bent piece of wire/bar or does the tail tidy prevent the official bit from now fitting under the pillion seat?

I'm guessing from the L/H hanger that's a 1000 rather than 650, are the TL systems so different that a 2nd hand one there can't be used?

Most people have lost the original prop somewhere along the line. My 650 didn't come with one but I grabbed one off eBay.

That's a thou, although I thought they came with SS systems as standard.

It is stainless, just cheap st fragile stainless, all fixed now with s/h parts, the TL1000 exhaust has no bung in it for O2 sensor so would need drilling and a bung fitting.

Bike never came with a tank prop. smile

Happy Birthday!! Registered in the UK 20 years ago last Friday, built in 1990 so over 25 years old. Still looks good, handles brilliantly, and keeps newer bikes in the shed.

Thanks. Was 50/50 on keeping it, but now that it's on the road, I'm loving it.

Proper bikes!

Lower one has the finned pushrods tunnel of a Thruxton. Only real way to tell is from the engine number though, there's many replicas about smile

Stunning Triumph Daytona and Triton at tonights Allseaons meet.

Unbeknown to me it was a Yamaha themed night, which drew out some real stunners, this air cooled RD125 was "bike of the night"

As well as my 500, an original Marlboro bike and a jap spec RZV also turned up.
