Cheers all for the thumbs up, I really am iching to get out on her.

Tony - I know you only like crashing the green ones so of course you're more than welcome to give her a good thrashing mate. wink
I'm going to be cheeky, Could you post a pic of the other side of the bike. Just so I can see how the rear brake master cylinder / reservoir is mounted. biggrin

I can't make Cadwell tomorrow, so if anyone wants my place, it's free to someone that can use it ?
Ah your kidding just see this. Don't think I'll get the time out of work on such short notice... Bummer
It's the joys of running your own business that mean I get lots of spare time when I need it, but when something comes up, everything has to get dropped.
I'm currently sat in my office looking out the window at perfect blue sky and wishing I was riding my bike frown

New track bike time. I've been on the look out for a 2007-2008 R1 for some time and this one came up just before Xmas. Lots of spares and 2 sets of spare rims with tyres too.

Looking forward to my first ride at Brands in May. I would have preferred to do a few evenings on her before the GP but it's not worked out.

That looks lovely. Look forward to seeing it on track this year hopefully

I've been in Austria on holiday, so took the opportunity to do training at the Red Bull Ring.

It was on a brand new KTM Superduke 1290R with the track package fitted, M7RR tyres and no crash protection (brave from them!) They use these as their link up with KTM and them not making a sports bike right now.

Consisted of 4 hour ish of drills in their driving centre - slalom, emergency stop, knee down, hairpin turns, etc.

Then an hour on track open session. Such a fast track, Superduke was a bit limited with short gears and no wind protection - but autoblipper and amazing brakes mean it was great fun. Sounds great on the standard exhaust too.

A bit pricey at €405 with hiring the bike but was great fun and deffo improved my bike handling skills. Really relaxed atmosphere and a real mixed group - I couldn't believe they let guys go round in textiles and jeans!

I hit 230kph on the straight, managed 1:59 as my best lap but obviously the €2,000 excess on the bike means you don't feel tempted to push your luck!

If you don't mind me asking, what sort of price did you pay? I'm considering selling mine (07 4C8_, which is 184 rwhp, with Nemesis TCS fitted, Ohlins TTX, K-tech front internals, etc, etc,., and am looking for ball park numbers. Thanks

I've just had a look on my phone and surprisingly I don't have any of the other side. I'm back home tomorrow so I'll take a couple, no problem at all.

@ graeme4130 - cheers for that and hopefully we'll bump into each other at some stage this year.

@ fergus - bike has done 2 outings since a full documented refresh and it has all the usual trinkets. 2 sets of wheels with disc and tyres, inters and wets. Complete spare fairing, tatty but very usable, Boxes of spares which I've not gone through but mainly coil packs, plugs, leads, pads etc.

5K

Hope that helps

"absolute 80s" Now there's a good radio station, there's a few of my mates down there, One's called Ben he's on a Milwaukie BMW S1000 RR, I've asked him to say hello to you.

Have a good day.

Cadwell was mint despite the weather forecast... Couple small showers at most

Took me almost all day to sort the bike. Few bits broke or don't work right but I'm 95% there

I'm not on fb anymore but a mate said a few of my pics got loaded up and I reckon this one looks good

Was good to meet Nemesis too although not sure you stayed long?
