the M5x is about £300-350 ish
its a 5 star sharp helmet, I do agree with the comments of the other cheaper models, I wasn't impressed when I seen them in the flesh, however I'm not impressed with many helmets manufactures lower end helmets. These are always going to be lesser as no one would buy their top of the range gear.
That said, seriously look around, wtf does £100 buy you in terms of a helmet, even the ones that were £50 remember they are 5 quid dearer than the st you see in Lidl.
I've bought it to replace my then £225 AGV, it was £40 for another visor, if its st I can live with it, ill use it for short trips and going to work and back.
seriously you really cant loose if you spent £50 or £100 if you want a high quality helmet, spend high quality money. I however accept the comments about like for like comparisons if you were to buy them at their actual price.
Mines still hasn't been bloody dispatched!!!!!!!!

Bell M5 helmet arrived today. First impressions;
If you paid full price you'd want your head tested.
Having never seen the m5x in the flesh how would you compare it to other brands, excluding bouncing on it obviously - Excellent quality bag.
- Tight fitting foam at forehead and nose is very close to bar but that could be me.
- spare tinted visor with pinlock fasteners.
- Visor movement is very poor with no lip to assist open and close. It doesn't make a good seal either.
- Nice lining which clearly will discolour very quickly.
- Front ventilation non adjustable.
- Reasonably light.
If you paid full price you'd want your head tested.
from your description I'm guessing if you were to place it in a table it would be like this....in a like for like model comparison
shoei
Arai
Agv
Nolan/xlite
Bell/hjc
shark
lidl/aldi

just send it back
Will do!(wont have no time tomorrow) but day after for sure!
and I am not just about sending it back- I'm properly cheesed off with such shabby lid with such big name and astronomical RRP price, just get the feeling of innocent bikers being taken for a ride.
to be honest, I know the sharp testing gets a lot of stick on here and else where but after investigation it really shouldn't and give a good bench mark as what to look for when buying a helmet
5 star for the m5x was enough for me to go ahead with the purchase at £100
the 3 star and the shades of red on side impact and general piss poor score on a helmet you bought should be indication NOT to go for it, well at least at the RRP

WTF are you on about man, look, we get it, your not impressed with the quality but you are buying the budget helmet of that range. Amazon have a return policy, by all means vent that your not happy and return it, don't ramble on like an arse listing every crash you had and how the helmet wouldn't save you, oh and plod wont give a fk about your sticker. A bike cop would see Bell and go right no problem a normal plod wouldn't have a fking clue, its not a legal requirement to have one as well.
Oh and BN showed up with his today at Knockhill and got on no questions asked.
I got my M5x, over the moon, whilst I wouildnt have bought it for £350 for the design but for a £100 its a bargain.
visor is a bit of a pain to change but I can live with it
cant figure out how to get the nose guard in
oh and my nose does touch it at times, my god I blinked when I shut the visor I thought it was gone, but then I am rather gifted in the nose department
the wee grey vents aren't in keeping with the helmet
heres the good parts
light as anything, tinted and clear visor, breath guard and an amazing helmet bag, try getting that from Arai.
the paint detail is awesome, its all gold and glittery, so much depth, on a par or better than Arai.
the lining is rather smart, well put together and i'm bloody glad I got it for £100
not ridden in it yet
over the moon thanks for the link

(emotional for not finding appropriate counter'action to fraud and deceit of fake BELL from Brussels , with most likely some short skirted executives business of style - in relation of me returning ONLY "Bell M10 helmet" to Amazon" in time...)
Again- I still use LIDL's Crivit helmet! (way better protection)
I'll never forget my late mate that died with an "flashy" looking helmet when he hit tractor and spring of aggregate punctured his brains...
The other name chasing (apart from sensible money saving) and name TARNISHING COUNTER IDEA (too late) developed- I should have taken pictures, videos and forwarded them over actual BELL USA...!!!
Never mind not so obvious fakes appearance of other models, but M10 should be recalled and deemed unfit for sale in Europe!
no?
My $0.02ct on a matter
how is it fraud? its stamped, it gives to the tests its went throughAgain- I still use LIDL's Crivit helmet! (way better protection)

Personally i wouldn't have went near it, if you fail to do your research when buying something, especially something as important as a helmet you cant really be to pissed about it, especially when amazon are taking it back even after you went out a ride in it.
