Did a 'monsoon run' ride with local riding trainer here in the Bay Area. Northern California is having a series of storms and they run a number of 4-5 hour ride out to train riders who aren't used to it. I decided to do it for more experience around bad weather and local conditions. It was horrendous. In fact, I ended up riding up an down some road that you really needed an off road bike! Mind you, I was being a wuss, since there was a bloke on a Tuono on full sport tires, I just need to suck it up...

Anyway, need to finish off cleaning it off - this is what came off when it had dried off - and what you cant tell is that this is good 2CM high pile of crap. Not doing that again in a hurry.

First real ride out of the year, other than using it to and from work. Not major distances, around 60 miles. Love it.
That's mint. Get a proper seat pod on it!

Ze Panzer is just mega in these cold and rubbish conditions. Goretex, thermal liner in, and it's ace feeling impervious to the outside. The GS just loves being ridden hard in these conditions.

It's a bit like when a puppy gets excited to see you and does a little wee. Nothing to worry about, they grow out of it.
