A picture a day... biker banter (Vol 6)
Discussion
Scottish sections of the VMCC organised a ride-an-old-bike day to let folks ride some of the members bikes (in a controlled environment). I took the ‘47 Chief along and the wee (‘49) Corgi…little and large . A fee brave soils chose to ride the Indian and seemed to get the hang of a foot clutch/hand shift, and even the Corgi had some takers. Lots of other very nice old bikes there…some even pre-dating twist grips. All in all a really great day with old blokes (and ladies) messing about with old bikes.
Perspective makes the Corgi seem much larger than it actually is!

Very brave of you - well done. I'd love to have a go on both. Perspective makes the Corgi seem much larger than it actually is!

What's quite far in Canada 500 miles ?
4 of us went out today - 2 punctures
Luckily no walking involved
No idea, but it was about 30 mins each way of up and down trails. These boot are definitely NOT made for walking. Might stick some lightweight trainers in my backpack in case it happens again.4 of us went out today - 2 punctures

I am not sure that image or your endorsement is helpful. BTW, as an owner of an 890R I fully concur with BN's assessment, albeit that I am no match for him in the wheelie stakes.

Repeated EML and limp mode, on the year old bike I bought four/five weeks ago. After an unsuccessful attempt at repair I insisted they repatriate the bike and, thanks to the efforts of my travelling companions, carried on with our holiday.Minutes before I cried "enough!":
Looking forwards to the middle of June when I might actually have a bike again!

Minutes before it threw the first fault I was gunning it down a canyon inbetween the two other bikes pictured and absolutely loving it. Fingers crossed it gets fixed and many years faithful service.Time4another said:
You're not making this any easier for me! Was a cracking night lastnight, I'd have been down there myself. Lovely bike.Gassing Station | Biker Banter | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
