That was brilliant, 2 Brits on the podium and Rossi extending the lead

It's been a while since I've felt my heart try and beat it's way out of my chest from a Moto GP race

I need to buy access to the MotoGP races....

Until I do...can someone tell me what happened? From the comments I am sort of guessing it rained, they had to change bikes, Rossi didn't change at the right time and Lorenzo binned it.

Correct?

Intelligent stuff by Marquez. Allowing Rossi through means he was third rider to encounter any new conditions, had 2 riders to observe at each corner, took some pressure off and he could get the jump on a change back to slicks.

Race of the day to Redding, then Smith, then Marquez.

Cannot fathom VR's thinking unless he just missed his pit boards. In drying conditions, I don't know why he even overtook Lorenzo? It was on Jorge to take risks to make up points, not Rossi.

It rained, they changed. Rossi caught Marc and George, Rossi went to second. It dried out, Marc changed to dry whilst Yamaha messed up their strategy, Marc won by 7 light years, and Lorenzo destroyed his bike, and his ego biggrin

Mental race, very exciting in terms of strategy and who did what, although watching Rossi come back form a distant third in the wet to the lead was great. Poor riding to stay out though IMO, he knew he should've been in earlier and no idea why he didn't as that's cost him a good few points. The Lorenzo fall just shows how this season is definitely going his way. I reckon that's the title done and dusted now, although Marquez did take a big chunk of points out of his lead.

Made up for Smith and Redding, two Brits on the podium is epic.

Not forgetting Bradley was the only one that stayed out for the whole race and Redding also crashed before changing bikes.

And no, Lorenzo falling off was not good. rolleyes

Thought I'd quote this. Are you hoping he's properly injured too?

Don't be stupid, engage your brain for about 5 seconds and read this as 'cool, VR is extending his lead on the championship further'.

Do you really have to behave like a troll in every section of this forum? Did anyone tell you to be mindful of the fact that you sound more and more like Waldorf and Statler these days?

In fairness, if that had been said then he'd be right. But that's not what he said. He was perfectly clear about his glee at JL falling off, nothing else. Not sure you offering alternative explanations is really going to wash
So, considering what he did say rather than what he might have said, or should be inferred from what he did or did not say, makes him todays Top .

Maybe it's a stretch, but what if he stayed out longer on wets to put Marquez so far in front and ensure that he soaked up the first place points ? I.e. Look at Rossi's strategy as being more about hampering Lorenzo than anything else. Or maybe he just thought it was going to rain again.

This is a awesome season, no riders able to run away with it so far.

Lorenzo starts the season st then gets into his stride

Rossi starts well then lorenzo gets his mojo back, however last 2 races the rains helped out rossi.

Marquez starts st, has a few wins claws his way back into the title fight , has another couple of st races then today wins and closes the gap to 2nd place again.

God knows what surprises are coming before the seasons over!
