Martin put in a hell of a lap there. Acosta showing the other KTM riders up. Great effort from MM and Maverick too.
The track remains bumpy as hell.
Cor blimey it sure is bumpy. I watched FP1 and FP2 this morning and got suckered into the relatively slow times in FP1 and the first half of FP2. I was wondering where the resurfaced track was and was thinking that Bagnaia's lap record from last year was pretty safe. Then something went off with about twenty minutes left in FP2! Bam, that record got blown away comprehensively and it all went pretty full-on. Qualifying will be good! The track remains bumpy as hell.

Are we not getting to see any of the Baggers action then? Kinda sucks.
It’s available on YouTube That was the 6 bike challange race from yesterday. Hopefully they’ll put the full races up. Bonkers things lumbering around.

It was interesting that the commentators were talking about the GP23s looking slow yesterday and whether there was the possibility that Ducati had detuned their torque curves or something. I picked up on this watching the first race, pretty sure I posted something here about it. They just didn't look like they had the legs to fight.
Where Marc is concerned I think he's still trying to get the Ducati to do what he wants on the brakes so he can work his magic as that was always his strongest point other than his strange ability to corner round lefts faster than anyone else.
Other than that, Martin doing Martin things, and same for Acosta.
Maverick continues to impress but I just hope he can keep it up - I am not convinced just due to historical evidence. That Aprilia looks awesome though, even over the bumps it looks so planted compared to the other bikes.

Ducati won't turn anything down, they're there to win the championship regardless of bike/team. Everyone who has a GP24 has said it's a big step forward over the GP23, and if you're on a GP23 you've reached the end of it's development so they have that package and stuck with it. But it's a very capable package that clearly can still win races.
Marc has admitted in practice he's trying to adjust to the strengths of the Ducati, but come race day it's a bit like muscle memory in that instinctively he's riding it like the Honda needed to be ridden, it'll come he just needs time on the bike.

Well, it's interesting that I picked up on it at the first race and now it's being talked about on the TNT broadcast. Also the GP23's arent in their most developed state, they are in their first 2023 iteration, none of the bits that got added to them throughout last season are on any customer bikes. But which channel? TNT sports 2?
Yes.But this morning's session from Austin is on live.
I think like the other chap is saying about BSB on the App last year, it's a proper lottery.
Why they cannot get a streaming app to just work and be vaguely user friendly to actually use, in 2024, when people are paying SO MUCH to use it, is a mystery.

Dunno, but that really convinced me Acosta is the real deal. It's like he's been on the bike for two seasons already.
Going to be a great sprint race with that front row, hard to believe he is only 19. If Martin is riding like he did in qualifying first few laps will be very spicy.
