1. I'm thinking of getting into biking. Will it be difficult for me to pass my test, as I'm an experienced walker, so presume it's exactly the same.

2. I'm 42 years old, but don't know how to convince my parents that it's OK. I am powerfully built, but lacking any form of self-esteem

3. When I do pass, which bike should I buy, as I'm easily led and need passers by to admire me on the bike, as well as needing that feeling of belonging that is so lacking in my life

4. Which tyres should I put on it? I often find that when out walking I push my Adidas Porsche trainers beyond their grip limits and know that I'll probably be more than capable of outriding most road tyres within a couple of days of passing my test.

5. What tyre pressures should I run? Is nitrogen more appropriate for me, as I am pretty amazing

6. Do I need to buy all the protecive gear? Although I'm a Company Director (of at least 87 companies) I like to do things on the cheap.

7. I'm thinking of doing a trackday. Would it be best to go straight into the Fast Group given my uncanny ability to be brilliant at everything I do. Will a can of Red Bull help me? Does anyone know where I can buy trackday insurance, as I might get knocked off by someone else.

8. Are bikes really that quick? I mean, I've watched F1 and think those cars could lap the IOM TT course quicker than a bike.

9. Rossi has ace helmets, should I buy a replica even if it doesn't fit, as I need to be admired by strangers.

Some, or all, of the above may not be serious. Apologies to anyone who gets offended .................... actually scrub that, if you are offended get some self esteem

I'm getting this image of R1 Loon, something like a well built bodybuilder, with a 'tash...

And possibly dancing teeth and a flat cap as well?

You missed out:

10) I'd like to have a midlife crisis and take the piss out of 'backpatch' riders, failing to see the irony that I've just bought into a lifestyle and have an (Alpinestars) backpatch myself whistle

Funny Loon, although I am guilty of starting a what bike thread, and it will need tyres, and pads, which pads should I buy Loon? will HH pads be strong enough to cope with my Rossi like braking?

You forgot:

where can I buy 1 piece leathers with matching gloves and boots in the same colour and if possible brand as my bike?

What's the best product to wash my bike in? I hear normal car wash stuff will cause my bike to rust up and die within days

I watched the power rangers as a kid, and always thought the pink power ranger was coolest, where can I buy some leathers similar?

People accuse me of being spineless, do I still need a back protector?
