Anyone taking their bike to VW?
Discussion
Very few people seem to. I've taken mine twice. The first time I went along with Alex (Iguana) in the summer and there were 4 or 5 bikes there and the second time in autumn and I was the only one.
The advantage is that you don't have to pay for parking but then everyone ignores the bikes and drools over the (usually) slower cars.

Anyone?
I might be up for a trip on the bike, from Bedfordshire. I'll have to wire the heated jacket in, though.

Whereabouts in Beds are you?
I'm planning to come along in the car. I've wussed out of the bike option since a) it's got a flat battery after being stuck in the garage all winter, b) it's got ex-race tyres on that need a bit of heat before they're any good and c) it's gonna be pretty cold.
So, Incorrigable? New track scars? Where did you bin it?

I shall try and make the effort for a pint at the Wheatsheaf. I am at Ally Pally on the 4th, so, besides the fact that the missus won't be too happy with me spending a whole weekend talking automotive, I shall be over. What time are they meeting? IIRC it was around 11.00am before.
Weather will determine what mode of transport is to be used. The Elise is flying at the moment as I have just replaced the CAT with a bypass pipe. The Blade has not been out of bed since October last year. I will drag it out if the roads are dry. Not bothered about the cold too much.

What is all this 'too cold' nonsense? You are ALL girls.

You're still at the enthusiastic stage. Give it a couple of years, when your joints start playing up and the cold starts antagonising your 'constitution'.....
And there is the real concern about the effects of the road salt on your pride and joy. Remember to hose down your bike after every ride with COLD water - hot water encourages the action of the salt, apparently. The alternative is fuzzy aluminium and disolving downpipes.
