Hi All,

hopefully someone will have tried this and can help...

I am off to a trackday in a weeks time (nothing like leaving it to the last) and I have tested my db levels from my stubby can and they are well over.... I have a couple of options

1) Get an old standard Gixxer can from a breakers or somewhere (I didnt get the original with the bike), this could be tricky given the time left and chances are it will be fairly battered...

2) Get a £10 baffle to fit into my current can, has anyone tried this and did it reduce the noise significantly?

Alternatively has anyone had a similar experience and what did they do

thanks in advance

What model is it Scott? I was looking on ebay last night and there was quite a few on there. Standard one for the K7 started at about £30.

It's an old K2, I have seen the second hand cans on Ebay, I have ordered the baffle today so I will try it in the existing can and re-measure with the db meter then see what reduction I get.........

I'd think that you may struggle with a baffle, they dont kill the noise that much. Maybe next time get a standard cheapy ebay can- so what if its a bit battered, its only for the track. Plus, if (heaven forbid!), you bin it, at least you've still got your nice shiny race pipe. As long as the bike is repairable!!
