Get in there!!!
Discussion
Ok, I haven't got the time do give a full report of my journey rhrough the CBT and DAS but the most important
thig is I passed my test today, with 5 minors!!
I would have given a blow-by-blow account of my experiences had I not crashed out the minute my arse hit the sofa
the last two days. Mainly, I think, due to the mental exhaustion of remembering what seemed like a million and one
things each day.
Saturday was CBT day and all went well; no problems with the u-turns or emergency stops, picked up the lifesavers
and road positioning pretty well and generally just really enjoyed being on a bike, on tarmac!
Day 2 was a full day on the 500s; on the whole it went really well but due to the test the following day (today)
it felt like it was a day of being told off and by the end of the day I'd started to doubt my chances of passing!
Day 3 (today) was just spent generally riding around, polishing what we'd been taught over the past two days and
running through the u-turns and emergency stops one last time.
I did manage to find one road where, no matter ho hard I tried, I just couldn't to a u-turn and I started to worry
a bit but there wasn't much I could do about it now!?!?
The test was at 13:33 and to be honest, the whole thing is a bit of a blur and it felt like it only lasted about
10 minutes. The important thing though is that I nailed the u-turn, emergency stop and other than a few minors
rode really well.
So.......which bike to get???
If anyone in the Chelmsford-ish area is looking for an instructor then I would definitely recommend the boys at
Link (Chelmsford). All top blokes with the right blend of banter and bkings to teach anyone to be competant
and safe on the road (not just pass a test).
p.s. apologies for the garbled and disjointed post but my brain is still in recovery mode!

Nice one Rob!
I was born and bred on Chelmsford...where abouts are you?
I live in Witham, from Newmarket originally but moved down this way to move in with the Mrs a couple of years ago.I was born and bred on Chelmsford...where abouts are you?
She's from Chelmsford originally though, near Chelmsford golf club, which is how I knew about Link.
When I finally get myself a bike I'll have to give you a shout and you can show me some good local roads!?
