Suzuki GT200 X5 Starting problems.
Discussion
Spent the day today trying to get the in laws GT200 started. We changed the fuel and originally had a spark but what appeared to be a weak one that has now disappeared.
I am no expert with electrics but what could this be. The bike has been sitting since 2003 but was running. We have looked at all connections, changed fuel and plugs
We have 1 ohms in HT COIL . But only 3V approximately when turning over going into the coil. Could this be a clue? I believe the other suspected parts could be the rectifier or CDI unit?
Help appreciated, otherwise I think it will just be pushed back in the shed.

Has it got a condensor/supressor fitted across the points? this is a capacitor which removes EMC interference, these can break down under load and short out the spark, especially when not used for a while, if you haven't got a spare, just remove it and try without, fit a new one if found faulty.
