Best motorcycle helmet for under £200 for R6
Discussion
Having just bought myself my first R6, I feel the urge to protect my skull.
There are loads of good lids out there, but they're rather expensive and I can't tell whether I am paying more for security or looks (or both!).
My bike is red and black R6, so would like a matching full face helmet. I'd prefer it to have a fog free visor, but I can always stick an insert in.
Links appreciated with guidance.
A chap at Hiene Gericke told me that I should get nothing less than an Arai or Shoei. He seems horrified at the thought of my getting another HJC!

I felt the need to protect my skull way before I knew about motorbikes. You must be the sort of nutter who thinks their head is a useful weapon, or tool to open doors, etc. When I got my first bike I got the same 'Arai / Shoei' line (but then again I was asking for the best head protection available) so tried a load on and the Arai fitted perfectly, so with the usual advice that the best helmet is the one that fits your head the best, the Arai it was. You may have a different shaped head. Try them all on (and there are the so-called independent SHARP ratings for lids now as well, so cost isn't always an indicator of quality - also bike magazine lid tests show this up as well)...

I havent posted for ages but for some reason that tickled me sufficiently to cause me to snigger embarrassingly in front of work colleagues who now realise im not reading some in-depth work document.....sorry to the op, no new suggestions other than the usual- try as many as you can and get the one that feels best/looks coolest (preferably in that order).

However, the advice about the helmet is appreciated! I'll look at those ratings.
George White have the HJC HQ-1 in Lordship Red for 150 quid.

Unfortunately it's only in stock sizes L to XXL. I've seen the Lordship design in other places for 199, so if you've got a smaller head then you might suffer.
