a while ago I read on a different forum that putting motorbike throttle bodies on to a car engine is quite a good mod and you get more power out of the engine.

any truth behind this? and what would it do?

40 to 45mm are usually the ideal for a 4 cylinder 2 litre 16 valve engin3 revving to 7k but going too big can hurt throttle response.
...... are you stalking me? lol thats the exact config of my car engine.

but thanks for the info smile

I take it that your 4G63 lump is not an Evo unit then?
I actually don't have a 4G63T engine in my galant, I was so close to dropping one in, but thought about it and it would be a lot easier and a lot less time consuming to just get a new car, I was just asking as if the fuel injection stuff buggers up on my car, it would be an absolute ball ache to source parts, basically just getting bits off a spare or repair/breaking car.

but its good to know, as i might actually keep this car as its only a shed (well, i paid hardly anything for it, but it goes, handles and stops great and with only 27k on the clock its in pretty good nick aswell) and keep it till i cannot fix it myself anymore, and just use it as a tip run/hauling/towing/general workhorse.
