What? No thread on this already?! Shame on you! tongue out

Are Lorenzo & Marquez going to have a decent race this weekend or will Rossi win it like he did last year?

Another walkover for Mr Kent?

Will Sam finish the race?

If it's dry lorenzo will win and what better place to beat rossi than Italy.
I dunno, he didn't have enough to beat Rossi last year, and Marquez fell off trying to stay with him too.

He runs a MotoGP team and I don't so.....

but I would be amazed if they do anything measureable. Surely the speed at which the front of the bike lifts under power is not enough to take advantage of the aerodynamic resistance these wings offer? Or is it just the extra weight they add?

If no-one else gets a penalty for exceeding track limits then I'm calling fix!!! banghead

Just showed Danny going a little wide swiftly followed by the next 3 or 4 behind him going even wider. I find it impossible to believe he was the only that's done it enough to get a penalty.

The best idea I heard yesterday was that the wings help to reduce front wheel lift on exit of the corners, thereby allowing the anti wheelie to be dialect back a little which simply means less power is cut, better corner exit acceleration. Plausible .... At speed in any other part of a lap I do not see much benefit ....
That's the official line, but is the bike going fast enough out of the corners to make the wings work?
That's my thinking too. The downforce must be microscopic.

The commentators mentioned something being flicked up off the track just before he took a long look down at his bike, which was just before he then slowed up and dropped those places. Also on the replay it sounded like he lost power rather than just missed a gear.

I need to buy access to the MotoGP races....

Until I do...can someone tell me what happened? From the comments I am sort of guessing it rained, they had to change bikes, Rossi didn't change at the right time and Lorenzo binned it.

Correct?
It rained, they changed. Rossi caught Marc and George, Rossi went to second. It dried out, Marc changed to dry whilst Yamaha messed up their strategy, Marc won by 7 light years, and Lorenzo destroyed his bike, and his ego biggrin
Not forgetting Bradley was the only one that stayed out for the whole race and Redding also crashed before changing bikes.

And no, Lorenzo falling off was not good. rolleyes
