right to start with i have my cbt in a couple of days and im after a good 125, nothing in the scooter brand will ever feel my buttocks, so thats left me with geared bikes.

i know there are a few good ones out there, but i dont really want one of those old school looking one or a cheapo chinese fake that will fall apart 2 miles down the road.

i was thinking of something along the lines of the power of a RS125(can do over 60) but i didnt really one one of those.

does any one know of a good second hand 125 that have a nice bit of power (for a 125) and dont look too old or pants?

my budget is about 1200-1400

as for rebuilds i dont really want to be rebuilding the engine every other week.

as for the honda/suzuki clones i didnt really want one of those as, as people have said they dont hold there value and fall apart.

i wanted something that should be nice to look and and ride but also not drop too much value when i come to sell it in a month or so when i do my full test. so i can put that money when it sells and poss add a little bit more an get a desent-ish 600(not minding having to strip that one down as i will hopefully be keeping it for a while and would like to learn bike mechanics and cba to do loads of work to a 125)

Apologies for once again sounding like im on a crusade about these, but so far I have had nothing to suggest unreliability in mine, and as for holding its value, firstly if youre spending £700 or so, really is resale value such a priority?
s'ok tongue out its only from what people have said to me not actually hard evidence. so they 'could' be good, just people have a prejadise(sp?) against them as they are so cheap.

i have been looking up the tzr 125 and i like the look of them, not as thin as a push bike(cbr125:P)
and in my price range.

does anyone know what sort of speeds you will get out of them, (restricted and derestricted) and what they are like in real world driving, i.e from 30-60 or similar?
