PH2: TT 2012 race and TV schedule

Essential bank holiday (and beyond) viewing with ITV4 TT coverage

The summer motorsports calendar is now really kicking off and while PH eyes are focused on Le Mans there's plenty more going on too, not least the Isle of Man TT. And whether you're a dedicated PH2er or just a casual viewer, perhaps inspired by TT3D: Closer To The Edge, ITV4's coverage is well worth a look over the coming days.

40 this year McGuinness stil reigns supreme
40 this year McGuinness stil reigns supreme
PistonHeads has men on the ground too and as the action hots up Sean Carson will be bravely taking a seat beside Mark Higgins for a four-wheeled lap (hopefully mainly forward facing) in a Subaru while Alistair Weaver will be reporting in from within TT legend John McGuinness' camp to get the inside line from the legend himself, the year he turns 40.

The TT homepage has all the info about riders, scheduling and results you'll need and you can read all about ITV4's coverage here or on the schedule below.

Enjoy!

Looks like good coverage this year. The Wingnut / Stavros team is very good as they have been there and done it.
Looking forward to it...

Awesome. Best motorsport event of the year. Can't wait. Makes F1 look like watching paint dry!

As always already addictive viewing those guys are just amazing it is just so brutal.
I have now watched my dvd of TT3D closer to the edge at least 5 times, just brilliant.
I see that Mark Webber is over there to watch apparently he is mates with John McGuinness. I am never sure what to make of Webber but when you see him make the effort to go and watch other forms of racing you have to like the guy as he must be a true motorsport junkie.
I am a big Guy Martin fan and I really hope he can win at least 1 this week but I just don't know if his Suzuki can beat the Hondas.
As he says though "Go Big........ or Go Home".
Let us all hope that they all come back safe this year.

Looks like mechanical breakdown will be the only thing preventing a McG sweep of the 1000cc classes, though the other classes will be closer. Shame that Hutchy and Cummins are struggling with injury as they would have really pushed him. Over the 6 laps in dry conditions McG's just in his comfort zone, at another level.

Just got back from a 3 day stay.2 practice and the superbike and side car races.Nothing better than seeing those guys hitting 170 down bray hill.Even managed to get a full lap in(only pillion)without any mishap. It's my 3rd year now with many more to come...maybe on my own bike next time.I'd like to see guy martin get a 1st but from what i saw john mcg is on fire.Hope everyone who visits has fun and comes home safe.

The addition of the speedo and revs on the coverage is excellent. 175mph from the SuperSports 600 !

Massive respect for Hutchy! Riding with a completely knackered left leg, gear changing with the right and at those kind of speeds? Unbelievable. The guy's worked so hard to get back to where he is; riding in the TT in such a condition deserves huge respect. I hope he goes from strength to strength!

+ another 1. My only worry is that he's coming back too soon and will knacker himself again before he's fully recovered.

But top marks for the coverage - I'd love to see more but this is plenty good enough and is feeding my need to get back over there again next year.

Once more the TT shows that road racing is the most awesome form of motorsport in the world (to my eyes anyway)

me too...like to see him get fully fit and then have another go at it. The state of his leg means even a minor off could be serious.

+1 Hutchy is mega brave, and considering the injury he is getting over from, is showing his class by getting a 6th position. Then again he is the only person to ever win every race in one year. People will say he had luck but that b******s. The guy is pure class. Right up there with DJ.
