The Silverstone Classic website has a members/tickets section on it and you all need to go into that and buy your tickets using our Viper Club booking reference code. If you haven't got the code, mail me and I'll give it to you.

Tickets are on offer until 31st March, so get them bought before then.

I am aiming to be there on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday has a race into dusk then some live music, see below.

This is from 21st Dec:-

TICKETS ON SALE NOW FOR THE WORLD'S BIGGEST CLASSIC MOTOR RACING FESTIVAL
Dear Classic Racing Enthusiast,
The popular ‘Early Bird’ discount tickets are available until 31st March, 2012 and right now make a great Christmas present.
The Silverstone Classic this year was a great success with 80,000 spectators and the exciting news for the July 2012 Silverstone Classic is that it is now “powered by the AA”. We will soon announce the many new ideas that the AA will incorporate but immediately there is a 10% discount off prevailing ticket prices for all AA Customers via the event website.
We have plans for many new elements for the 3 day festival and here are the details we can tell you now.
The racing will be very dynamic with new grids featuring the formidable F5000/F2 cars, very close racing from Touring cars from the 70s-90s era plus the return of the mighty Group C cars as well as over 100 F1 Grand Prix cars and charismatic sports and GT car grids. A feast of action for the historic racing enthusiast.

1962 was a very innovative year for car design and 50 years later we celebrate the anniversary of the MGB, AC Cobra, Lotus Elan, Triumph Spitfire & Ford Cortina. In particular the Cobra celebrations will be the official gathering for all AC Cobra and derivative owners. Expect to see 500 of them in a track parade as well as battling with the Ferraris and Jaguars in races.
There are special celebrations too for the Ferrari F40, Maserati Merak, TVR Car Club, Mercedes Benz Club, Marcus Owners Club, Renault Owners & the Chevy Camaro. Another new attraction is the BMW ‘Z’ Fest being staged for the first time in the UK.
Last year over 7,000 classic cars were displayed over the weekend so there will be lots to see. If you own a classic car then there are special car club display packages for you to display your car on the in-field.
Live rock music remains a major part of the fun and is included in the ticket price. We have top acts on both Friday and Saturday nights Mike and The Mechanics with support bands will feature on Friday 20th July plus Adam Ant and support bands on Saturday 21st.

This year many people made it a 2 or 3 day stay and to help people make the most of the 3 day festival we are introducing a range of overnight accommodation choices. These range from the high tech ‘Snooze Box’ to Glamping or the massive Woodlands campsite next to the circuit.

Those of you who like to visit the many retailers and exhibitors who support the event will not be disappointed with over 160 exhibitors in the Retail Village with a huge range of products from antiques and autojumble to vehicles and vintage clothing. Add to this the traditional Fun Fair, Air Displays and many demonstrations and you will have flat out fun all day.

The new ‘Wing’ building at the International pits is a spectacular structure and will host the Silverstone Auctions sale of classic cars and memorabilia again in 2012. Another popular aspect of the Wing is its superb VIP hospitality facilities providing the opportunity for over 1200 guests to be part of the action overlooking the start/finish line and might be the ideal venue for your family, friends or business entertaining next year.
After the 2011 event many of you completed an on-line questionnaire with very helpful feedback particularly commenting on the much larger layout of the circuit. The Silverstone Classic was the first event to incorporate the new Wing complex with many valuable lessons learned. There will be enhanced transfers between the North and South of the circuit with double the number of historic buses running. There will be extra car parks opened with more access roads into Silverstone and these measures together with a streamlined ticket checking system will enhance your experience.
The Silverstone Classic Racing Club membership is available for enthusiasts to get more involved with the event and it provides many exclusive benefits.
Check the event website at www.silverstoneclassic.com regularly as new information will be frequently added.

Car Clubs Ticket Offer

The matrix below explains the discounted Buy One Get One Free ticket offer prices that are uniquely available to car club members.

These can only be purchased by using the booking code dedicated to each individual car club. Tickets will be dispatched with 1 infield car pass per pair of tickets for your allocated club display area. A booking fee per ticket and transaction fee per order will be applied by SEE Tickets. Multiple sales are available. No BOGOF ticket offers available after 31st May 2012.

Car Club Member Early Bird Tickets Advanced Ticket
BOGOF Ticket Price Matrix Until 31st March 2012 1st April – 31st May 2012
Friday £35 £40
Saturday (Limited availability) £50 £55
Sunday £45 £50
2-Day Fri/Sat £60 £70
2-Day Sat/Sun £70 £80
3-Day Weekend £80 £95

In order to control the volume of traffic arriving and leaving the venue on Saturday 21st July 2012, the total number of Saturday-only tickets available will be limited. Early purchase of these tickets is, therefore, recommended. This restriction will not currently be applied to 2-day or 3-day tickets. Clubs will be notified of any change in these arrangements.

Two complimentary 3-day tickets will be issued to all classic vehicle clubs applying for membership of the Silverstone Classic Racing Club. Clubs will receive additional complimentary tickets dependent upon the number of cars booked into the event using the club’s dedicated booking code, as in previous years. Minimum number of cars 25.

Tickets will be on sales shortly.

Important Dates

Event Dates: 20th, 21st and 22nd July 2012
Set up Times: Thursday 20th July between 10.00hrs and 20.00hrs
Early Bird Tickets: Available until 31st March 2012
Advanced Price Tickets: Available 1st April to 31st May 2012
CAR CLUB TICKET SALES FINISH: 31st May 2012
Club biog for event programme: by Friday 8th June 2012

We close car club bookings in advance of the event so that we may better plan for the day and ensure we are able to provide a high level of service to all car clubs, issuing the coordinators and their members with more detailed information prior to their arrival on site. This will include club infield display area location, entrance route to venue – there will be more than one vehicle entrance to the venue in 2012 to ensure that we do not have a repeat of the traffic congestion on the A43 experienced on Saturday morning of the 2011 event – track parades (timings, assembly point arrangements and which clubs participating) and the Silverstone Classic Concours d’Elegance into which one car per club may be entered.

The prices until 31st March 2012 are the first figures, 1st April to 31st May the second set of figures. Sorry I can't get it to lay out properly.

There is camping available, not within the circuit but just over the road I think. If any one is interested let me know and I'll enquire.

Look forward to seeing you all there.

CM.

Hi Matt,
I'm new to the UK Viper Club and interested in the club discount for the Silverstone Classic. I usually get discount through the Vette club but my membership has expired so I've be grateful if you could let me have the Viper Club discount code. I'm also interested in any discount for track time if its available, last time I booked this it was through the Vette club on the Stowe Circuit. I've only joined the club earlier this week so Adrian Swift will have all of my contact details if they're not readily available
Cheers Richard.

Nice looking motor you got there Neil. I've just picked up a Gen 3 SRT-10 convertible in flat red, it's in the garage on jack stands at the moment having a few mods. I just can't resist tinkering and getting my hands dirty. There's no rush on the club discount codes, but I've spotted some tyres on the classifieds that are of interest. I think the ad is quite old, it's been posted by Bendy, If you know the guy I wondered if you could contact him to check if they're still available. I've replied to the ad via the club site but the response seems to be sitting in my outbox rather than the sent box so I'm not convinced he's going to receive my message.
Cheers. Richard

Welcome aboard Richard. thumbup
The Silverstone Classic this year is hopefully going to be a great event.
You can see from Matty's posts we clubbed together last year to buy the Silverstone Classic Racing Club membership package. We hoped other Viper owners like yourself would join with us in time to enjoy the benefits like in-field parking and cheaper tickets but I’m not sure that includes track time……
I'm sure Matty will update you with some of the finer details when he gets back off the piste. hehe
Look forward to meeting you soon and seeing your new motor.
In the meantime, start a new thread and tell us all about your SRT10, with photos of course. thumbup
Cheers,
Ade

NEWSFLASH...........

Ginja is the first among us to purchase his ticket for the silverstone Classic.

Don't forget that the earlybird offer expires at the end of March so hurry up (me included) and get your tickets bought now.

For those considering camping:-

The recommended camp site is Silverstone Woodlands which is located to the south of the circuit. Details can be found on the Silverstone Classic web site or the Silverstone Woodlands own web site

Sorry chaps, just been on the phone to Silverstone as I found the website confusing. Im an AA member and the AA discount can NOT be used with the car club discount frown

This morning the price for Sat and Sunday is £75.60 including booking fee
Price for Camping is £40 per person! or £16.20 for a Child up to 16yrs Which for me would total it up to £131.80.

Im out. frown

I tried that when I booked and had to phone them up and get them to credit then take another payment. Ignore the AA discount thing, it doesn't give you additional discount off your discounted rate when you use our unique car club booking reference. Have another go and see what the difference is.

Just had an e-mail form the organisers to say that the ticket offer to classic car club members has beed extended until Thursday 14th June - so if you missed out before - or were too tight to buy one then - now's your chance to redeem yourself.

Cheers,

CM.
