So who wants to join from where, the usual route we take to this is

Dave and I meet in Bagshot, (+Fishy if he is coming). We head up to bracknell and the M4 to hack across to the M40 at High Wycombe. Then pootle up the M40 and meet any others at cherwel and have a comfort break, sort out tickets etc.

Now I heard on the radio Thursday before last (the day of the volcano) that Cherwell burnt down, presumably it was burning ash fall out from iceland or a 747 with a speck of ash in its engine or something, but the upshot is it may not be the best place for us all to meet.

So who's coming from where and wants to join (vipers and etc only), We don't want to be stopping every 5 minutes though so we need to figure out convenient stopping points. Do we have any coming down from M40N? Do we need to find a replacement for Cherwell on the A43 or will the services m40 J8 suffice? I know there are some gas stations on the A43 but not sure how suitable they would be to meet.

Neil F do you want to backtrack towards bracknell and bagshot or hang around in a lay-by on the A404. Maybe you know of a better meeting spot in High Wycombe.

ViperDave - Bagshot
GTSDave - Bagshot
Fishboy? - Bagshot
NeilsFishing - ?

Hi GTSDAVE, First of all I apologise if I messed up the Wiki (I only added that I would meet on the M40), so I don't understand what went wrong.

Neilsfishing and I are meeting at the services at junction 2 on the M40 at around 7:30, so perhaps we could catch up with you guys at the High Wycombe serives (Jct 8) or further up the M40. Cheers, Mike.

I may well travel straight up the A34 on Sunday Morning, which will put me at J9 of the M40 I believe?

Just not sure how long it takes to get to that point... I'll try and work it out with Multimap, might be able to double back to J8 if it's not too far...

7:30, that's a bit early sleep. Working on the theory that we aren't going to make it to silverstone for the FIA warm up and even if we do we will stand around in the carpark chatting i was thinking of pushing off from J8 services at about 8:45 to get us to silverstone approx 9:15.

Sounds Ok with me, just need to decide the best route for me from this end... Will probably nip up the M3, meet Dave (ViperDave), then on toward the M40 and meet Dave (V10BAT)... Seems like more fun than running straight up the A34 on my own.

So I will be planning on stopping at J8 M40 to push off around 8:45 hopefully meeting Neil and Mike there, and Dave if we don't hook up on the A404 before hand. If we push off at 8:45 we should have plenty of time to try and hook up with Neil around silverstone so he can give us our tickets, we may even be able to get to the M1 meeting point but will telephone coordinate when we are close.

GTSDave wont be joining us unless he changes his mind in the morning
