Power and aerodynamics are everything for top speed.

A measly 450bhp isnt going to cut it unless its in a super aerodynamic car, and very few road cars are.

Weight only plays a part in how long it takes to get to Vmax. It doesnt really play a part on overall top speed achievable.

Hi
Came second behind the awesome Viper but only 2 litres im afraid. The Data Log showed it hit the limiter at 210.2mph before the end & coasted over still 206.1mph is a new Cossie Topspeed record.
Will be back soon on longer gearing & decent race Fuel. 215 is still out of reach though im afraid so congrats to you guys thats a fast car.
Cheers Rod

looking at the times the porsches were really strong as expected, though what TVR's were running, I read there was a some PH cerbera's going ?

TVRs 27 & 34 are pistonheaders; met them both at a stop off at M25 J28 before they went up... then they shot past with the F360 about 10mins later on the A12!
graham had a 4.5ltr cerb and i think the other guy did too. there was another modded cerb and a yellow sagaris (sounded v dirty!) -> photos

That is an astonishing achievement. Good work, mate.

But what he really needed was a V8 Lotus Esprit. [/fifthgear]

Terrific achievement. I saw Joel's face when he was told he had done a tad under 216mph and it was that of child on Christmas morning.

the look on the cossie driver's face when he did his incredible run was one of "I come in Peace, take me to your leader..."

My weedy SL65 only manged 187..

By the way, is it rude to cheer on the Lady Viper driver by shouting "GO-NAD, GO-NAD"?

The web site is of a previous conversion only around 750bhp must update it.

The Sagaris was actually a T350C, and th enegine was still tight due to an enigine rebuild.

Part of me says, send the Viper back to the US for an extra 300bhp+, another part says spend the money on a new Hummer, another part of me says do both...

Think the latter is actually quite likely.
