New records set! The recent test day for invite cars at Scoobyshootout (www.scoobyshootout.co.uk) saw some excellent practise times and speeds set in preparation for Redline TOTB3. Two new records were set, both by Calder Racing, with their Supra and Subaru Impreza WRX. The supra is over 900bhp and proved itself with a new record for Elvington, running 201mph at 1.25miles from a standing start! Meanwhile the Calder Scooby ran a sub 11s 1/4m, to become the fastest Subaru 1/4m in
the UK so far at 10.98s on road legal tyres. Both cars are sure to be contenders at TOTB3.

Competitor Entry packs-
These will go out direct to all registered competitors around the 14th July, and will contain the event info, instructions, 2 entry tickets (driver and
passenger), plus pitlane pass stickers. Team reps should ensure any official support vehicles requiring a pass are notified to us in advance of this date.

Spectator tickets-
A reminder that advance tickets are on sale with a £5 discount on www.totb.co.uk, or via the orderline. Additionally the clubs taking part can obtain a further reduction in price based on a block purchase of tickets for club members, contact us for details.
Alternatively spectators can pay on the gate on the day at £20 per adult, children free.

Legality of Competitor cars-
Reminder that all cars must be road legal, taxed, tested and insured. Tyres are to be road legal, DOT or E marked, and with legal tread depth/pattern at
all times. Any tyre queries should be raised in advance. Any objections against a particular car or tyre will only be considered on the day of the
event if raised directly with the scrutineer or us.

I agree with you, the event could be over 2 two days as well, you could then split the pro's more easily and take in more DIY punters, but suppose that in itself would create problems. Nad and I have had this same conversation.

All competitors will now have received their pack with tickets and stickers. the large stickers are for the rear wondo and the front screen. additonal stickers will be given on the day for the front and rear number plates. stickers and tickets will be required for all competitor cars to get
access to the event and to pitlane, and the signing on and video release forms need to be handed in at sign on sunday morning 8.30am onwards.

Anyone turning up on the day in a competitor car (incl competitors) without their entry tickets will be
charged full price entry , as the gate staff have to get people inside quickly and have been told to charge any passengers/spectators or drivers without tickets. any non competitors who are travelling in support will be directed to be parked in public parking without exception, please ask your teams to respect this rule as the pitlane space is limited to competitors and approved support cars only.Anyone with a genuine case for a support car pass, who hasnt got one in
advance from me will have to park outside the pitlane and ask the pit gate marshall to contact me in an emergency only. any team members with a valid claim to a support car pass should contact me before tuesday morning. 07761 789291

reminder about team marquees/stands- club marquees/banners etc may be erected on site on saturday afternoon if you wish, after 3pm, we are on site until 6pm approx when the site is closed and locked. any team members wishing to beat the queues and scrutineer their cars can do so at the same
time, but the cars must be left on site to do so overnight. the site is not open to public or camping, and only our security and staff will be on site
watching the cars. if the competitors still wish to get the cars checked sunday morning, then they need to be on site from 7.45am to 9.30am latest. the scrutineering van will be on the gravel return road from the handling area on sunday, and cars should queue down pitlane and into the return lane, once checked and stickered the cars can drive back to pitlane as normal via the gravel return road.

club areas for pitlane will be allocated by myself on site on saturday and will be identified by a laminated sign stuck the the floor in the centre of your area. club marquees and support cars should be parked on the grass behind, not on the hardstanding. club reps should ideally report to me on sunday morning (or saturday afternoon) to be shown your club area. trailers may be offloaded but must not be parked in pitlane, you wil be able to park them securely at the rear of the handling area out if public access.

further updates through the week, any queries drop me a line please
cheers
chris

Paul came up with this design, for the competitors to sport. I knocked some out (400mm long) for any club member who wants some for their viper.
