We have free WiFi in the hotel, so I can update this if I remember to!

Journey via tunnel and trip over all went without a hitch. Couple of lost cars along the way but soon caught up. Hotel is much bigger than last year and right on the Rhine and has a lovely outlook. A few beers and steak by the river went down well. Beautiful setting.

Free morning tomorrow then off for a photo shoot over the other side of the river then Go Karting. Should be fun

Remember the nice blue/White SRT Hennesey Coupe last year? Wrote it off at the 'ring 2 weeks ago whilst being instructed!

A lesson to us all to be careful...

Managed to find a jet wash this morning, so car all clean and shiny. Everyone's out polishing for the photo shoot this afternoon, well, I say everyone, except Nad who's busy inspecting the German Wiper's wink Even Maureen is polishing!

Bad Breisig is a lovely small town right on the Rhine. Watching barges cruising down the river.

There'll be no pics from me until after we get home!

Good day today, morning to ourselves taking in the sights of Bad Breisig and cleAning cars.

3pm meet in the car park for the cruise to the river ferry across the Rhine and onto the venue. Show and shine parade and a single Go Kart track with timed runs - seems like Charlie (Neil's son) got the best time. Scenic drive along the Rhine and back to the hotel.

Evening was a buffet on the Garden Terrace overlooking the Rhine and a few beers.

We've now all received our Treasure Hunt packs to do on the way to the 'ring, but it's all in German. Think we'll all be getting lost on the first page!!! Mitch, where are you when we need you?

Will be an early start so no posts until late tomorrow. Looking forward to 2 hours on the ring and F1 circuit with the 30k crowd watching!

Night all...

Not much time tonight and iPod slow for typing!

Interesting day to say the least. Treasure Hunt to start but we only got half way before bailing out as we ran out of time - took to long to get out the car park! Got to the ring with 5 mind to spare and out for a lap behind the pace car - took best part of an hour due to millions of VW's on track. Second lap much better but still behind VW bus. I then pulled off track but managed to get redirected down a busy pit lane and back out onto an empty F1 circuit! 2 flying laps and virtually no traffic of both circuits - great fun.

Lunch provided unexpectedly and we were late to the party as usual not knowing what was going on. Afternoon more Treasure Hunt but abandoned due to morning.

Off now for beer and river boat.

Anyone got a power steering pump? Mines gone:-(

Firstly, PS pump this morning is behaving better and will be fine to get home on so no panic - thanks anyway!

Superb day today. We all did slightly different stuff, some stayed local, others went to the Von Tripp museum and we (with A & J, B & K) went to the Berg Eltz castle. Lovely 30 mile drive on very scenic roads in bright sunshine. Parked up after a trek through narrow streets and 30 minute hike to an amazing German castle set in a spectacular valley. Lots of photos, a good lunch and a final climb to the top of the hill only to find a car park right there! Still, ours was the nice route. Ice cream and back to the cars.

We then decided to put into action the plan we'd discussed during the day where Brett would lie down in the Ram with the back down taking pictures as we drove along the nice roads. Got some great pics after just a couple of kilometer and then we spotted the law waiting to pull out a side street. We passed them and Andrew immediately turned right before they spotted the body hanging out the back, but it was too late, they followed and stopped us. Andrew had to explain why someone was hanging out the back of his truck! Poor Brett knew nothing until he saw the police car behind. Luckily the thought of all that paperwork on a Sunday afternoon put them off, so they let us go... phew!

Nice drive back and a great Pizza and beer out with the remaing crowd. Neil, Nad, Adrian & Tony left this morning.

Brilliant day to round off a great weekend. Scenic drive past the Nurburgring and the B258 with a stop in Monschau before heading home.

See you guys soon...

Home safe and sound and a fabulous 5 days away. Thanks to everyone who made it so good.

Nice drive back in fabulous weather with a short stop in Monschau for Pizza smile

Glad Brett made it back after the suspension failure even though we had a long delay at the tunnel after making it there on time.

Will upload some photos tomorrow, but don't have that many...

Could have been so much worse if it happened on the 'ring or many other places. Glad you got it sorted quickly'ish Brett...

Ha ha... we were looking for something to lower the bump stop on the suspension to raise the car height a bit. Jenny found a roller skate by the side of the road and we started to dismantle looking for washers, nuts or even wheels to work as a spacer. In the end we used a large nut that came off the shock and acted as a thick washer. This increased the ride height enough for Brett to drive home without ripping his exhaust off!
