Wish me luck! Should be interesting. I'm guessing that it'll fail on the headlight aim, however I shall have a spanner ready.

Bruce - didn't I hear you say your Atom's was due soon as well?

Still no sign of those pics on Reilly Studio's site....

Ross.

the indicator assembly fell off as well

Was it the bracket that broke or something else? If the mark 2 is still going to have indicator stalks snapping that's something Simon's going to need to address.

I don't normally run with headlights so I've just thrown them on for now, so will need to adjust them at the MOT.

I emailed Reilly's - they say they should have them up by 6pm tonight.

Hurrah, passed, only a couple of things they pointed out.

The braking force on the front driver's side brake seemed to vary a little as the wheel rotated - no big deal though.

A very small amount of play in the top front ball joints.

At the back the driveshafts needed tightening to take up a bit of slack as the driveshaft nuts hadn't been fitted very well to start with (in fact they look like a monkey's been hacking at them with a chisel) so I'll probably change them soon.

Luckily the garage was very friendly and apart from sorting the driveshafts on the spot, didn't bother with an emissions test or the headlight aim as they could see there was no need/point respectively.

Make sure you don't tighten up the nut on those too tight otherwise you break through the casing (as I've done on one of mine).

Tape seems to be the best option on these things

I'm sure if you pull the dash out and send it to SPA, they should be able to replace the needle for you. I've been down there before and they're a pretty friendly bunch of people.

Good luck with that Bruce.

Probably worth checking your rear driveshaft nuts are tight (ie. no play on the driveshaft) prior to the MOT.

Let us all know how it goes.

Cheers, Ross.
