Need some thoughts please.....

I had my gearbox rebuilt by John Reid at Readman racing but have some problems.
He suggested a new tail on the box that would do away eith the crazy old gearstick linkage and allow for a direct gearstick. Good idea i thought but it does nees a little work to fit a stick offset to the right. Not a big problem. See here....

The bigger problem is the rear mounting set up is completely different and would need some design and fabrication of a new mount....

So do i persevere and get a new mount made or just take the box back to have the old tail refitted?

Yeah i think that would be the easy route.

Been one of those days. Went to take the wheelie bin out this morning and as it fell off the step fell into the tail light of the Mazda putting a neat little hole in it! Then realised i had just missed the bin men by 5 minutes! Then a trip to the hospital didnt tell me anything i didnt already know and now i have a scan to look forward to. Time to call it a day and have a beer i think frown

Is this in danger of turning into a Friday 13th thread?

I just posted my driving licence for renewal yesterday.
Will it be returned in time? I would have to get my lodger to send it to me special delivery also.

Now thats dedication, you will be entering NSCC next.

I dont think i will drive the TVR down today. But may come home and get it at the end of the week if my licence is delivered.
