She's gone weeping
I feel so alone cry

She's off to a better place wink

That's her away to the trimmers. Keeping with the factory colours. As my whole plan was to restore her I wanted to stay the same and the HUGE bonus is, I really like it smile
What am I going to do with myself ?
Anyone else need a car done ?

Although William Ramsay is the best and only person I'd ask to do this, he can't be hurried.
He estimated about 4 weeks to complete.
He used to do all the work for TVR and TVR dealers up here so he knows his way around the car but it cuts my time to finish the car down a bit.

The target has always been the TVR Rusty Nail Run from 25th to 28th of September.

Hey Robin.
I'm really looking forward to being there for the first time in a TVR. The Audi S4 is nice but it doesn't quite fit in wink
I've got loads left to do once she's back from her trip but a lot of late nights and I'll do my best to have her ready.

Cars not here but still stuff to do smile

Shiny bits biggrin

And black bits. (Apprentice abandoned the job wink )

All dial faces flattened the best I could, dial bezels (not sure if that's the right name but black ring) repainted and all needles repainted.
Still got the neons/LED's to do but that can be tomorrow's job.

Thanks guys, I couldn't be happier with it.
I know it's not finished but when I saw it I got all excited. It looks and feels fresh. I guess it's just a small taste of what some lucky people got going to the TVR factory to see there car being built.

I'm getting to work on her this weekend up at his unit.
All going well the boot (fuel tank plumbing and wiring) will get done and interior finished.
Time allowing I'll move onto the front end and cooling system.

Another weekend and with access to the car while the trimmer is away it was time to get something done.

Boot trimmed.

Lid on.

Dash fitting started.

Cooling system and radiator plumbed in and alternator fitted.

Willie Ramsay used to do all the warranty work for TVR up here so knows his way around the car.

Bryan, I'll be working some long hours to get it ready. As long as I don't come across any major problems she'll be ready for the Rusty, after all it was all you guys that made me buy one wink

No rest for the wicked.
Pre cats de cated.

Tools for the job consisted of,
Vice
Hammer (started small but very quickly moved to big)
Long and large flat bladed screwdriver
Drill with flat bit
Pump pliers
Small crowbar

And finally about 2 hours on the first one and 1 hour on the second with a vice holding it still.

I know this doesn't help Nosh but the pictures really don't do it justice. Willie Ramsay is an artist and the interior is just stunning. It's not been a cheap part of the rebuild but the smile I've had every time I go for a visit tells me it's well worth doing.

She's home.

And finally as a small something extra I asked for a pad under my daughters booster seat so it wouldn't mark the leather if she was in the car.
He took it to the next level.
