Un-Modified Chimaera Club (UMCC)

Inspection tonight proceeded by dinner and a few beers to soften them up .
And no doubt copious quantities of your famous Teutonic charm The beer is a good idea.
And rumour has it that your Mrs. is a more than competent chef and hostess.
You will be firmly ensconced in the Dark Side I am sure.
As this (please don't go here ) has again reared it's three heads (and webbed toes), I feel it's only fair to give this topic a bump too.
For the sake of fair and equal reporting (and common decency), you understand.

I'm new to the Chimaera forum and am not too sure if hanging an air freshner from my rear view mirror is classed as a modification? I'm torn between the modified and the unmodified. Please help!
Whatever you do it will stink in both campsBetween you and me, if I had the money I'd be in the modified camp, as I said ssshhh!!

Whatever you do it will stink in both camps Had a good snigger all the way through this thread... I NEED TO JOIN!
I have an unmolested '93 Chim with 44K on the clock. Had it about a dozen years and used it mainly as a Summer toy, but it has done the odd winter before now (Crikes, its still snowing outside and its April!). Been one of the cheapest cars to run and maintain I've ever had. Upgraded nothin'. Escort discs and pagid pads all round for <£100 last week! VW temp sensor - £2. Most expensive is the Mobil 1 or other fully synth oil every year (and of course fuel). Other fixes include re-cored rad, various small hoses and jubillee clips, a couple of batteries (fortunately battery isolator switch was already fitted when I got the car or there would have definitely been more new batteries), 2 ignition relays - the silver ones @£5 ea. OK I did re-paint her a couple of years ago and that cost me around $1200, but she's all stone chipped from the Le Mans runs and needs the front end re-doing again now.
Maybe I'll have to finally get around to fixing the driver's door lock and blocked carbon cannister/purge valve or pipework and glue back all the trim and other bits that are reverting to component form. Nah! Maybe I'll just go for a drive...
Remembering rule 1: If it ain't broke, don't fix it AND racer rule 2: Even if it is broke, but there ain't no smoke (or black 'n orange flag) - KEEP GOIN'!
I'll post some pics soon...

Whatever you do it will stink in both campsAt least here, one can admit to having some actual original TVR part numbers without having to hang their head in shame
ETA
I wouldn't class the mirror hung air freshener as a 'modification' personally.
Tasteless possibly.
Unnecessary certainly, the roof should be off!
