Temp channel on the boost gauge is engine coolant - the intercooler in and out temps are crucial to understanding what's going on. The four red buttons are each dedicated to a corresponding gauge and are used to program/retrieve stored data etc. Did consider tucking them out of sight but like how they appear (thankfully)

Here's an unilluminated view

Nice one Gary thumbup nice accurate gauges a must for your kind of running gear ...... now cool whoosh

Just spent 3 hours doing one wishbone, most of it with a bar trying to line up one hole. Started on the other side and found out that there's different sized nuts on it and some washers missing so it will have to wait until next weekend, realised that the top ball joint is a different colour to the other side so someone must have changed it and then lost the nuts and washers rolleyes

Spent most of the last week preparing the actual garage for starting rebuild/upgrades on the car from July. Ripped out most of the workbenches I built and replaced with a couple of industrial sized shelving units from Costco, each has a capacity of about 4 tons so should be up to the task of storing parts.

Got the A/C fixed after a broken joint leaked all the coolant out. Should be comfortable in there all year round now. Got the computer fixed up to where it is both out of the way and accessible for when I get stuck and need the help of the pistonheads smile Fixed an overheating issue on it with the liberal use of some brake cleaner blah A first in over 25 years of computer support...

On the actual car, as posted in another thread, been playing with a mirror drive recorder that I will fit properly after July.

Stuck a couple of extra bits of gaffer tape on the front, changed the wheels for my road set (still on 888s from Thursday's sprint), checked the pressures and washed the car ready for 405 faultless miles today.

Drove to London and back, did TiTTs 11, including seeing the new Evans La Ferrari at Dunsfold. Ran the car on standard unleaded all day with no ill effects, apart from not getting pops and bangs on the over-run.

Fitted nearside rear drive shaft, fitted refurbished wishbones with new bushes. fitted rear hub. Greased propshaft Ujs and slider. Refitted fuel pump and filter, fitted new fuel pipe. Fitted exhaust, fitted steering rack, fitted front antiroll bar, fitted alternator. Fitted front cross member.
Fired her up whilst still on axle stands and annoyed the neighbours. What a day, long time since I got chance to do this much in 8 hours.
Just the front wishbones and hubs to put back together now then off for a Geo set up.

Failed miserably to find coolant leak on daily shed - but strongly suspecting QD heater matrix hoses or o-rings as coolant is ponding on top of gearbox. The garage near work can have the pleasure of that one.

On the Tiv, tapped a home for the air temp sensor into dump valve T piece right next to plenum inlet and mounted MAP sensor on throttle linkage cage. Threaded wiring for both but need to work out how to connect and configure MAP sensor on Emerald ECU. Set new gauges up to find intercooler temp one was not quite the Ebay bargain I thought as its a) faulty (backlight colours not selecting properly) and b) an obsolete early model with much reduced functionality. Call to SPA tomorrow to see if the head-unit can be rebuilt/uprated to same spec as other 3

Refitted the starter motor to my other V8. bh of a job. Had to remove the solenoid and refit it once the starter motor was in situ.

After popping a driveshaft off on S-Club Tour, and nearly losing the other, I replaced the CV bolts with some new 12.9 allen head bolts and stupid amounts of threadlock.

Also re-filled the CVs with grease as both had spat out their contents into the wheel and arch. Luckily the brakes remained uncontaminated.

Was unable to remove the broken end in the drivers side hub so ended up with only five bolts on that side.

Also found a small leak in the new rear brake pipe work. Nipped up the union and all is well. I thought the pedal felt a bit soft.

Then sorted the boot catch and topped up the oil.

Then went for a quick ragging.

Cheers thumbup

The screen is a 7" touch screen bought from ebay (samsung panel). Mounted in a carbon dash panel and it connects directly to a laptop (that starts when I turn ignition on) this gives me all my music, satnav, megasquirt software, dual lambda gauges, basically what ever I could possibly want all using touch screen.

May have a coolant conditioner in it, which turns it yellow.
