Fuel rail sealing
Discussion
Rich (Sheel) fitted a fuel pressure gauge via that opening.
Became very useful very quickly as he'd also fitted an adjustable pressure regulator which we would set to 3 bar, go for a drive and watch the fuelling lean off as we'd go.
Pressure regulator faulty, replaced for another new one and all worked well, the gauge helped him narrow it down quicker.

Do you have any more details on what Fuel Pressure gauge Rich fitted?
Looking to do this myself... It would be nice to have a permanent one visible whilst driving

Is that a new rail or cleaned and coated?
Cadmium plated Did you block off all the holes so its not plated inside, my local plater wouldn't plate mine because its made of mixed metals, I have a good mind to show him your picture but then he'll charge me a small fortune for being a smart ass.

And no nothing was blocked off
Mixed metals?
It was always the case that Red fibre washers used to be used for sealing such joints like the banjos on the fuel lines and even the jet blocks on the old Amal carbs. Wonder why such an effective idea was dropped? Maybe just not high tech enough? .......................... but it worked.

Banjo fittings? you want either aluminium or copper washers I wouldn't trust fibre washers near a high pressure EFI fuel system alright for old school gravity fed fuel systems on bikes I suppose Gassing Station | Chimaera | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
