Sounds similar to what I had (see first post), well done that man for finding it! If you can get a relay that does the SAME job for £8 then why not, I doubt very much if TVR make them themselves anyway. However, if it will not plug straight into the harness then I would pay the £44 and put it to bed.

I've done some basic research, the basic pin out seems to be the same, you can buy a whole central locking kit including relay,solenoids and cabling for £35. The relay is made by italamec in Italy , and I think is common with most aftermarket kits.

Got a similar problem on mine, where is the relay located ? One of the several hundred in the passensger footwell ?

unfortunatley not, you need to lift the dash top on the passenger side. it's obvious which one it is, made by italamec, , part 358, with 'centralina bloccaporte' written on it.

just a quick update, i've ordered the part for next day delivery £12.75 inclusive.

he says they used to supply TVR!
