The RWYB thread seems to be all about Santa pod and Shakespeare raceway![confused](/inc/images/confused.gif)
Oh haha yes just turn up to York (the friedliest strip of all).![confused](/inc/images/confused.gif)
Same rules apply, bring a helmet and licence, get your car checked at the scrutineer, go sign on and pay £30, get in the queue ready to run at 10 am. Stay till end of play and get a dozen or more runs in.
Its the Hotrod re-union weekend. Always a good show of race cars. There will be entertainment and i hear there is a burlesque adult only act on later. Oh yeah
This morning I had my second ever breakdown since buying the car a couple of years ago, it came to a standstill half a mile from the workshop that I was dropping it of to for paint ![irked](/inc/images/irked.gif)
Figured out that the fuel pump that had cut out, so after half an hour of swapping relays about and playing with the inertia switch I figured it must be the immobiliser that had gone wonkey and was cursing the car, I was trying to drop it off to spend money on it after all.
10 minutes later I found out that I had managed to pull the live wire off of the fuel pump whilst driving across a strip of grass![silly](/inc/images/silly.gif)
These things are sent to try my patience![hehe](/inc/images/hehe.gif)

Finally got the LC pistons in and engine rebuilt, went straight onto installing Eanns turbo kit, which we finished about 3 in the afternoon, which gave just enough time to get up to Clive Atthowe's in Norwich and put beastie on the rolling road. Needed extra strapping on the rear to stop the wheelspin, but final run gave a very credible 535 bhp at the fly, and 560 ftlb's.
The dream got a bit blurry after that and it was a real shame I woke up. Looking forward to going to bed tonight now.

Fitted a new rear brake pie and tried to bleed the brakes on a very petulant Clio Sport, just can't get a pedal.......Gonna have to bleed all four corners me thinks?
Plus whilst in there forgot to put trickle charger on the Porsche, I'll pay for that boo-boo next time I want to use it DOOH!

Sorry, but there are not enough pipes under that bonnet ![hehe](/inc/images/hehe.gif)
I read that thread to which you refer, and having seen the above pics, for me your solution could be a central air scoop near the front, both to deliver air to the air filter and also to help with cooling.
Just a carefully moulded, fairly low level one, done by a professional like Plasticman, and shaped to direct the air where you wanted it. Wire mesh grille discretely located inside to keep stones out. Tricky decision.....![confused](/inc/images/confused.gif)
Almost worth buying a second bonnet from our friends in Northumberland to experiment on, rather than trash your present one, then you would only need to have it sprayed up if it worked to your satisfaction.

It's not having scoops or vents in the bonnet... Next iteration may well be a flat panel air cleaner atop and drawing through the horizontal surface in front of the rad, enclosed by an air box using the space above and feeding over the top of the rad (effectively linking to the pipe in the pics) . Plenty of volume there to make something effective and room for the plumbing...
