This one's LPG'd...... 330bhp and runs as sweet as a nut.... Cost me £30 quid to get from north Yorks to Shropshire.....and that included a massive detour, after getting away from the M56 chaos yesterday...smile
Hmmm... Maybe next year. They sound good too. I'm getting a little tired of diesels for the daily hack. No end of injector issues.

I much prefer my 4.0 Disco to the TD5 before, (engine wise) smoother and quieter but the 10-12 MPG on half price LPG is still shocking!

I've given it stick and it's dropped to 8mpg yikes, same as my chim does on the track.

Should marmitise opinion but seemed to grow an air intake last night - see the 'ducting' thread for some hopefully sensible discussion of the thinking
Could you not do something like the cerb and have the intake between the rad and bonett hinge.

Spent most of the day polishing exhaust manifolds. I'm struggling to write this as my fingers are cramping so much...

It's not having scoops or vents in the bonnet... Next iteration may well be a flat panel air cleaner atop and drawing through the horizontal surface in front of the rad, enclosed by an air box using the space above and feeding over the top of the rad (effectively linking to the pipe in the pics) . Plenty of volume there to make something effective and room for the plumbing...
Brilliant, looks like we won't be waiting much longer for the Champagne moment then Gary !

Well, it's all Pete Tong!

Car started, ran beautifully for 10 minuets and died,
.

No spark and no injectors.

Simon and I are on the case via hi tech BT link, smile

Review tomorrow after laptop connected and Tuner Studio review.

Huge sigh........................

what do you think it might be? I was thinking possibly a relay but if the fuel pump primes then that should be ok. Does your fuel pump relay then go to a distribution/fuse board which the injectors and coils are fed from?
Or has an earth managed to come loose with the vibration of the engine running? (if they are earthed in different spots)

I'll check earths tomorrow.

Funny thing is that it just stopped while idling.

I was thinking it's strange to loose spark and coil so maybe they share an earth, or +vr, kind of like this below?
Except on my install the fuel pump relay feeds the fuel pump directly but also T'd off to a distribution/fuse board for the coils, injectors, lambda

Check you're still getting signal from the crank trigger first of all.

Hi Phazed, not sure that it will help as you already have the A Team on the case, however, I had similar : http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

I had priming fuel pump and seemed to have 12V to coil and injectors BUT I also had a route to Earth from the +ve (red wire) feeding coils and injectors, even with the ECU side, coil and and injectors disconnected. This turned out to be a very frazzled relay.

Much help was received by the usual suspects.
