Could do with one of them washers and heads what you got
Its a Nilfisk you can get a half lance section with a right angle head on it which is only about 60mm long on the angle perfect to pop under the car and blast between the chassis rail and the body

Don`t have the money, I now live in a large house with baby twins ,my council tax is £2200 a year and the gas bills are through the roof ..So I am fitting a Multi fuel stove boiler and heat store joined up with the gas boiler which is costing me 5k .The bank balance is taking a hammering .rolleyes

I don`t think it`s going on the road this year .

Have you moved in to Chatsworth or summut!
Yeah but it must be a nice house.
And your in the trade!
I've done an experiment,
I've got a house up for rent that's got card meters and I've spent the last two wks re decorating and fixing EVERYTHING?
So I put 50 quid on each card, all lights on etc including electric fire.
Not to bad the money lasts ages
The GAS, Jesus h Christ that old boiler burns it faster than a Chimp!
New boiler next wk?!!!!
The gas is a furious price!

Not on the road you say, I dunno its depressing but needs must, I've took mine off the road to tidy it up, they are a toy after all.
I'm enjoying it as I can play and leave stuff open rather than rush to get it back together, no stress rather than massive you fks!!!
My point is enjoy the twins mate the car will always be there waiting.

Get Daz to spec it and fit it for you. He's good with gas boilers.

Having met and enjoyed time with you both, just make sure you go away for the day, or you will both spend the entire time talking TVRs. And take his phone off him.....laugh
Who am I to talk? Hind legs fall off donkeys when i am around.....

I did think that Anthony but thought it would be to far away for Daz to travel for a little boiler change!
Its a bloody panic as I didn't realise it was playing up until last wk, I've got a young family moving in on Saturday!

Daz it sounds like you need to expand!
Just out of interest how far would you travel to do a Job Daz.
You won't use Silicone though will you!

Daz so you can use multi fuels, sounds funkie. What like coal or wood!!!?

Off topic sorry.

Don't start me off, this how unstable my life became, I bought a Tvr because I wanted something reliable in my life, would you Adam and Eve it but I swear its true. With decisions like that no wonder the floor fell away,

Arrr but now I've put the car right I've re gained my mojo again, against all the odds and every one in the world against it, I've got a reliable Tvr.
I've got one wonderful son and another that thinks the car has replaced him!
Kids they'll grow out of it.

So the thread. Can't someone get a Chim in a wind tunnel and work out what the difference in drag there is,
Those enclosed babies are really smooth, mine look like wind socks!

If you could get a Chrome rim around the edge, really subtle like a sixties Ferrari feck it would work for me then, the silicone just looks naff to me.

Funny you say that as I have noticed this on several Chims, that the rear quarter seems to be a different shade than the doors. Some people don't seem to notice but if you are used to looking at paint critically it is like the car has been part re-painted at some stage. You can even see it in pictures in some ad's.

But if you stand up close and eye each panel the paint seems exactly the same colour!

Are the doors constructed else where using a slightly different material, its a weird one.

Well in summer with solar just for domestic hot water demand next to nothing(will be backed up ether by immersion or boiler) .The only thing I`m not sure is how it compares if just using the boiler back to back next to a fully pumped system and open vented or unvented cylinder ,that's the bit I have not managed to get any answers .

If your radiators need 20kw to heat them and the fire is producing 15kw the gas boiler only needs to supply 5kw to keep the heat store to temperature.

If you are managing to input energy from alternative sources then the boiler will have less work to do.
