As I've already mentioned Steve, I've only used Peninsula who I get on with, for a wider scope it might be an idea to put a post up on the TVR General Gassing or the South West forums to get feedback from people who've used others, personal reccomendation always works for me.

Cheers, I will. But tonight, I think it's time to go for the Friday pint ( along with the obligatory pic of the car )!
Keep you posted tomorrow if all goes well. Thanks again for all the help and general info.

Too upset to talk! saw it drove it, looked great but too many things wrong. Saw another today, fantastic 500, beaut body work and inside, but chasis had plastic coating off a lot of it and rust setting in, asking about it being cleaned up by local tv dealer. Price tomorrow. Thanks for asking though!

You will get this on a secondhand TVR, jab it with a screwdriver. If the metal is sound then wirebrush, hammerite and waxoyle is the obvious cure. Rich...

yep, I was tempted to say TADTS.......however there are obviously some cars that are worse than others.....so difficult to comment without seeing it.

I guess since you've looked at a couple now, maybe more (?), that you felt this one was poor.....?

My point to Steve would be that if the rest of the car was, as he put it, "fantastic" then a little rust on the chassis is nothing to worry about and would give him something to do once he's bought it - of course usual caveats about front wishbones and chassis out-riggers etc. Rich...

To enter Starsky & Hutch mode: Do it!

If it's Cureton Green: good choice

What mileage?
