I have 235/40 18s for my 888 rears. 235 x 0.4 x 2 = 188mm, plus 18 inches = 457mm Total diameter 645mm.
You have 265/35 18 for your 888 rears, so 265 x 0.35 x 2 = 185mm, plus 457 = 642mm diameter.
My only issue with mine was when my ride height was too low, so do check ride height if these catch on the outer edge on the wheel arch. Its the width that may be the issue. What's the offset of the RL7s?

Trouble is there appears to be no exact figure with tyre widths I have seen 225 tyres that are more like 245 when fitted to approved sized rims and those track tyres are a good example of this they often come up wider than is quoted even road tyres Goodyear NCT 2's are one I remember 205's when fitted to a 7" rim they was more like 225

Little bit of work today. Fitted an Elise seat that I had in the loft for next weeks TD. Made good around roll bar and fitted back carpet.
Made up and fitted guttering splitter.
Ride height is 170mm at the rear and needs lowering 10-15mm. I'll test at Snetterton first as is.
Bloody eck, them magnetic tyres work well!
