Golf Clubs :-)

Just been sorting through some old paper work and stumbled across a 2000 sales literature from TVR for the Chim and Griff.

Note the marketing for the Chim aimed at the ability to fit two sets of clubs in the boot including a picture illustrating this. no mention of sporting credentials:




For comparison the Griff:




In summary:

Chim = golf cart
Griff = one of the best sports cars in the world

Gave up years ago when children came along (golf) still got the griff though.

I wonder how many people actually buy a Chimaera rather than a Griff solely because it has a bigger boot ? Certainly wasn't a deciding factor for me...

I would say most buy a Chimaera because there much better looking. Like a fit bird or your reserve, you will take either but the fit bird is better

I just decided i wnated a 450 based on bang for bucks.
500s were a premium as were Griffs. I got my car for £4k less as a result.

I preferred the look of a Griff at first but have changed my mind now.

35 here with eye sight that can easily spot the ugly lumpy bits on the Chimp

Smartypants, I cannot believe you've gone on record as saying a Chimaera looks 'cheap'. Good Grieff man, that's an outrageous thing to say.. Cheap??? I'm shocked and insulted, the mere suggestion that we have 'cheap' taste is totally unnacceptable. I'm going to write to someone about this. Have you no shame??? A TVR???? Cheap????

smartypants, just checked out your profile and I have to say you chose well! Best car in the best colour. I was nearly swayed with a Chim but the classic lines of the Griff just take it head and shoulders above all others. With the inevitable "Upgrades" we all carry out, performance cannot be compared as each is as capable as the other. It is just personal preference and initial purchase cost.
