Recent topic on sheared crank front pulley bolt. Where can these be bought from. Seems an easy job to replace for piece of mind. Clev Trev may have them but wish to avoid excess postage. Also is there a stronger no worry bolt available. Thanks.

Your nearest Landrover dealer will have them or will be able to get one next day. £7 i think.

I doubt Clever Trevor (or many of the others for that matter) will charge you so much as that.
Call personally, and it usually come out cheaper.
For smaller/lighter things, I have been charged no postage at all.

Unfortunately, yes - car is still in the Alps awaiting repatriation after my clutch (suspected release bearings) failed on my trip last week.... drove an interesting 130km with no clutch through 3 countries in the Alps to get to my hotel....

Paul, hope the damage was not as bad as it could have been. Hope.
Question to everybody. How easy is it to renew the Woodruff key. Is it just the belt off and unscrew the large pulley end bolt and slip it off. Firstly lock the transmission in gear with handbrake hard on to unscrew. Is this the way? Thanks every body.
