chimaera head light

I seem to have mis-laid my parts list, can anyone tell me the part number or what make these headlights are? I've broken the glass on the off side of the car, can the glass be bought separately or is it a complete unit?

The glass lens is entirely separate from the reflector. Please send me your email address so that I can forward you a description of the way the replace a broken glass lens.

and very helpful it was to. thank you kindly for sending me that before peter - took me an hour or so to replace it properly, not including the 40 mins ripping my fingers to shreads and swearing profusely at the rubber seal around the grille

Please for give my ignorance of the beast (only had mine 3 weeks now) but can I convert my headlights from the sealed units to more modern lights with blue halogen bulds?

Imported MX5s and the older UK versions had sealed units buth there was a very cheap upgrade available, allegdedly.

The lights on the chimaera are not sealed units, there are bezel and lens units. So you can fit any H4 bulb you like, just watch the wattage size standard are H4 55/60, if you go any stronger you stand the chance of burning out wires or even the car! I have the ice blue bulbs in my car, no probs. You can also look at a system on the mod-wise web site, which increases the light out put. ( www.mod-wise.com)
