A favour for those in the Manchester area?

Readers of the general TVR forum may know that I'm looking for a Chimera 4.0, around £12000 max.

I've only sat in one, I haven't actually had a ride in anybodys car, because I don't know anyone who can help me out.

Is there a kind person in the Manchester region who wouldn't mind spending an hour or so with me, showing me the car, taking me for a quick spin (I'll pay for expenses and a pint), so I know I'm making the right decision?

I'm still in the process of flogging my TT, so it might be a few months before I can purchase. I don't want to be seen as wasting anybody's time by testing a car for sale, and then not being able to buy it right away.

Getting my 4Ltr chim back from Christopher Neils on Monday after extensive work so anytime after that - next weekend is possibly good - Sat morning??

dodgyviper, I may take you up on that offer. Depends on ntel's availablity, I don't wanna take the micky and go in loads of people's cars (although that would be nice). I'll send you a pm as soon as I know about ntel.

Thanks to Dave for an absolutely awesome drive in his 4.5 Chim today. I think its fair to say that the car blew my socks off. Beautiful to behold, and frightening to experience, this is a car I want. Now all I have to do is sell my car.

You're having a laugh - we need people like you so we have a damn good excuse to get out there and go for a blast.

Was just showing Parrot Of Doom how sturdy the chim is.... and how to remove muck from ones car with ones ar*e.

Twas a pleasure taking you out for a spin Tom - don't be too hasty in buying the first one you drive (but it does look well smart)

The afore mentioned grin is my natural expression and truly reflects my honest, open and oh so very considerate nature.

.... except when drivng through the tunnels under Manc airport - the noise the noise the noise
