Hi all,

I recently bought a '96 Chim and unfortunately, the alarm didn't make any sound when set off - a problem that I'm told isn't uncommon...

People are probably aware of him but, if they're not, I got it sorted by Carl at Car & Bike Installations (www.tvruk.tv) - did a cracking job! Cheers!

Really easy to change the siren yourself chaps. £60 from tvrcarparts.com for a meta 99T alarm (as fitted to my '98 griff).

Edited because I can't spell!

Thanks very much I'll give them a call only problem I've got is proving it's the siren but I guess as the other functions (indicators flashing when triggered)work it would make sense to be a knackered siren

Yep, same problem as mine had. Try to borrow a known good one if you can from someone. It really only takes seconds to take them off.

I'll second any recommendation for Carl. Very helpful, sent me the new siren up to N Yorks and then called a couple of days later, worried that I'd not called to say it had arrived! Not yet heard a hint of faint praise for him across the forums, either.
