Alternator Wiring

A while ago I managed to damage my alternator whilst jump starting the car, (don't ask!) after getting it re conned by the local auto electical services I refitted it, just a bit confused about the positioning of the 2 thin wires, one white and gray? with a female spade and one brown/red? with a captive nut held onto the ring terminal it is obvious where the big fat wire goes (B+) the two terminals below are marked D+ and W, I just wanted to know how to position these. I suspect I may still have an alternator problem even though the diode pack has been changed and the unit apparently tested, I think I can hear it singing even with everything switched off but would like to try it wired correctly before trying a repair or replacement

I fitted a new alternator back in the summer and, much as the wire colours differ from yours, the connectors will be the same.

Looking at the back of the unit, the main connector is on the upper left. The spade connector is to be fitted to the thread on the right- with the captive nut screwed to the middle connector.

Hope the alternator works ok but, if it doesn't, I have an unused one that I can sell you at a cheaper than market price,
