Chimaera finally finished and back on the road

Finally finished

Months of work lots of money spent and she’s finally on the road.

However a big thanks to the efforts of those that have worked hard to get my Chimaera back on the road and up to good condition with a few modifications a long the way.

A great deal of care and pride has been spent in overhauling this TVR Chimaera 400.

May i ask the wheel and tyre sizes as i am considering some options for my car,and thought those revolutions "fit" your car so well.

Well I am not usually a fan of modified cars as they are usually a bit flash but your car looks very good indeed. Very nice wheels - would it be rude to ask how much? More pictures please.....

Thanks very much to every one for your comments

The colour is Moonraker Black which looks stunning in the sun.

Sportmotive supplied and fitted T350 pods I can't stress enough they really did a fantastic job.

The wheels are 17inch all round with 7.5 inch width on the front and 8 inch width on the backs. The tyres are the new Bridgestone Potenza RE050 Z rated with 215/40 on the front and 245/40 on the backs.

The wheel changes have transformed the way the car drives it is a lot more responsive when turning in which I quite like. I think this is down to the changes in the tyre profile.

Sportmotive will be having a play with spacers to see what effect that has on the front end will feed back any findings.

I don’t get much tram lining which is also very good!

The conversion siuts the car very well, is subtle and brings the old gal up to date. The wheels are close enough to RL7s so that's cool. I'd be tempted to try a photoshop of em in black/chrome. The inside is a perfect match too and would benefit from some Tuscan/cerb seats maybe?

edited to add, one colour wheel centres in an anodised colour with matching badges too........damn, I seem to be missing the Griff again

No, I did see that one, but the lights went unnoticed with all the other mods on it! I think my eyes were watering at the time.

Argoose, is that a gloss black dash in there or a trick of the light?

THE DASH

That was provided by classical Dash at around £160 with a choice of real Caron Fibre and Quilted Maple stained finishes with a number off colour options.

I went for the dark grey maple stain.

I can back this up too, Ian is producing some really nice cars, I have seen quite a bit of the work they have done,top notch.!!!
