Instrument (Speedometer) Repair

I know this has been done before but the search function just won't give up the goodies no matter what I type in. Apologies in advance then.

Speedometer working fine but stuck on 'X'9999'. Tried all the usual tricks without any joy and realised the reset button isn't actually connected to anything so that will need repairing.

So, dash off and instrument out. Where shall I take it to be made better?
