Chimaera front upgrade
Discussion
Couple of points, if I may.
I was very tempted to do this on the Griff (if you think the lights are poor in a Chimaera, try a Griff!). This was the full bodywork restyled not Webb's "behind the cover" job.
Asking around, and not expecting to actually get your money back, people who should know felt it would do no harm to resale value. I thought this very good news.
In the end I haven't, and wasn't sure while I was only seeing pictures - I saw a Griff at Back Home which had. When you see it in the flesh, which I recommend if possible, it's a personal thing on the Griff or Chimaera and you might feel different. And personally I didn't think the end result as good as the original. (I love the Tuscan look, by the way.)
So I guess I'll put up with two candles flickering in the wind, for the sake of vanity......

Well my Chimaera is currently in having the headlamp conversion, and front end sprayed at same time. Very much a personal choice. I have made the decision to go for it, having seen a number of cars with the conversion. Have gone for the speed six conversion myself.
The car as at 30/5/03 looked like this will post pics when finished, which will hopefully be towards end on next week.

Personally i think the Chimp pulls these Off better ones than the GRiffith, thats why i am having the ones that stay behind the Fairing on my Griffith, still keeping the good looks but will be able to see at night and little bit different, a compramise i'd say.
Webbs do both versions now.

After much decision making I've decided it's a Chimaera I want BUT I'm thinking of getting the double headlight conversion at the front. Anyone any views on this or had it done alreay ? Thanks.
I had it done to my Chim - looked the business but was hesitant for a while beforehand, then thought it made a big difference...ask the current owner TVRpotty-totty for her thoughts! PS will do bugger all for residuals (will even put a lot of people off), all depends on personal taste. Webbs did mine - and did a great job too.
I opted for the Speed 12 conversion, with white indicators/repeaters, from Webbs. It looks so much better (I will be posting photos of it in the near future). The original styling looks great too, but it was well worth getting the more masculine look, and now I can see down the country lanes. The service of Jason Webb is fantastic too, plenty of help and photos.
If you want a look in the flesh/plastic it'll be at Le Mans.
Also got the rear lights converted to stop mates ribbing me about having Fiesta lights!
