New Alloys?

Hi,
I would like to put some BIGGER alloys on my 4.0 96 Chimaera. How big can i go, and what size tyres do i need? 17's sound like a good idea? Are they Ford fitment?

The alloys are Ford stud patten but the offsets are different from front to rear from memory I think the fronts are 18mm offset (Peugeot) and the rears I think are about 35mm offset (Ford) which limits the choice of wheel , I know Kahn make the RSR/RSS and Raceline make the RL7 in this configaration. As for tyres you should be looking to run 205/40x17 on the front and 235/45x17 on the rear to keep the gearing/rolling radius/speedo as close to as nature intended.

You could ask Kerniki as he has 17" wheels on his black Chimaera. Looks sweet! He also lowered his car...

Have a squizz at apache's profile - his Griff has (I believe) 17" RL7s all round. Looks the DBs in my opinion.
