ANY effort to keep the corrosion at bay is worth doing. cool

TVR's are a finite resource - you've only got to look at how many are being broken up to see that - and so effort to keep them running is a both a worth-while endeavour and ultimately rewarding.

More pics now uploaded.

Note that we are doing some double sleeving. This will make it a lot more rigid and also will probably out live me now!

It's great to see parts come back from powder coating and looking all shiny. Roll on next summer smile

Today I have started on stripping the engine down for a clean up and some paint and a sensor mod.

Pics will follow..

Cheers

Very nice. From the last picture i see the upper diff bush is still in place. Is it a new one or the original. If the original i would replace now with a nice new poly bush. Much easier to get at now with the body off.

Yeah the bush is still in place. Its coming out soon and every bush up and down the car is going to be replaced using poly versions.

spongy, looks really god
what tie and top coats did you use??? ive bought some grey por, but really quite like the white finish you have on yours

i've powdercoated chassis before, but as soon as you "dink", chip or scratch the surface, you cant repair, so i heading down the por route. The car is getting an LS install, and to say it is tight is an understatement, so the chances of the chassis getting a "dink" or scratch and needing a touch up are pretty high, however careful I am

1.marine clean
2.metal prep/rust/etch,coat
3.por grey coat x3.I sanded each coat on this to get a good finish.
3 por tie coat, the one that says its sands really smooth, and it doesbiggrin.
4 por white coat(same as hard nose)x4-5 coats in places.this is a two pack paint which gives a really good finish.it sands down really well, but once its on give it a short while and you cant go over it again till it dries,so if you get a run you will have to sand it out later. Its really hard painting tubes by hand cos just when you think you have it,you look from another angle and you have missed a bit....this is why it is takeing me so long If you dont mind the odd run then you will do it in no time.
Hope this helps sirwavey
